People read too much into this stuff...
I see such strong opinions here! It's weird. Some people say that shaved pubes makes a woman look child-like. Some say it's a control issue, where the man wants to dominate or somehow humiliate the woman. Some say people have been brainwashed by porn.
What's with all these weird reasons? Why not just say the reason why you like a full bush instead of saying why shaving is so evil and wrong? Because I can assure you, if you're in a relationship where the man wants to pretend to be a pedophile, or where he wants to purposely humiliate his woman, or where he's holding the woman to the unrealistic standards shown in porn, you've got much bigger problems than worrying about whether to shave or not.
Now, I love my girlfriend, but we've only been together a short time. When we first hooked up I saw she had a full bush. It didn't really bother me. I still happily gave her oral and she enjoyed it. But just a few days ago, I suggested that she may want to try shaving. I helped her shave her pubes and afterwards things were a lot cleaner. I was more turned on just looking at her and touching her, and I was actually anxious to give her oral. It was easier to pleasure her, it was more pleasant for me, it was more of a turn-on for me, but most importantly, SHE enjoyed it more too! On top of all that, now she's probably going to get more oral sex from me than she did before.
I don't have a problem with people who like a thick bush! Everyone has their own preferences. Some men like big boobs, some like small boobs, many like any boobs at all. Some men like larger women, some like really thin women, many don't care. My girlfriend doesn't have a perfect body or anything. She doesn't fit my ideal. Does that mean I'm going to dump her? No way! And if she didn't want to shave, would I refuse to continue going out with her? Of course not!
So all you anti-shaving people, what crawled up your ass? This seems to have become an extremely political issue for you, beyond a simple preference or turn-on. I'm not a pedophile - my girlfriend is a woman. She has boobs and yes, I can still tell she has (had) a bush (there's stubble there, not that it bugs me). It's not a control/domination issue - I casually suggested it, and she happily agreed to let me shave her, and told me that she was thinking of doing it for a while but never got around to it. It's not holding her to unrealistically high standards - if I were, I'd probably have ignored her in the first place because she's pretty average looking from an objective standpoint, and shaving her pubic hair isn't going to change that.
There are exactly TWO reasons why we each shave our pubic hair. It's more pleasurable for me, and it's more pleasurable for her. That is it.

I'm one of many men who really hate this weedwacking era we live in. I grew up appreciating women for what they are not trying to make them into some perverse publess barbie. WIth all the progress women have made in the past 30 years, now they are expected to be even more anorexic, more silicone-boobed and totally bushless. Who are the fashionista freaks that call for this.
Let it grow, and if the guy can't handle it, get another guy. There are PLENTY who prefer a real, natural woman, and are all waiting and hoping for the trend to reverse and return to a time when the lioness wore her mane.

I dont understand why you are horrified. Men are very visual and think a woman's pussy is the most interesting thing in the world. If you are shaved, they can watch themselves going in and out of you, see the glistening wetness. From what I've been told, they prefer the sensation of the smoothness and know for a fact that they are more likely to want to give you oral sex if you are shaved. I have never met a man that was into a shaved pussy because it reminded them of a baby. I've dated men that actually want to fo the shaving. By the way, I am a bit overweight as well. Are you perjaps not comfortable with your body ? If it freaks you out that much, partially shaving your pussy but leave a little strategically placed hair so that you feel better.

Back in the 90's when jokes were flying around about hairy pussies, put it into context, not to extremes! When we handed you a razer and said trim it down, that didn't mean swing it all over the place, go hog wild, and shave it all off! Most men prefer a trim bush, not a bald beaver. The bald look is gross and turns normal guys off. If you don't believe me, take a look at the blogs on Britney Spears infamous crotch shot! The vast majority thinks it makes her look like a skank. If you need further proof, take a look at some stats on the internet for the most popular nude websites. At the top, you will see "ATK Hairy and Natural" and "Abby Winters". These websites glorify the natural look. Furthermore, take a look at the responses on this forum. I am stunned at the number of men who agree with me.

I disagree with those who think that hair is dirty or gross. It's hair, for heaven's sake - yeah, maybe it's more curly and kinky than hair on your head. But it's hair. The same stuff women pay hundreds of dollars to fix just right on their heads. Do we want women to shave their heads bald because it's cleaner that way (actually, I'm sure there are guys out there that would prefer that, too)? I like hair down there for the same reasons as I like hair up there - it frames the subject nicely, it indicates health and vitality, it softens the general look of the area, and it's nice to run my fingers through. And yes I think the same thing about leg hair and underarm hair for women - though I think that's a lost cause in our society.
I see two possibly legit reasons for thinking that pubic hair is gross. One is that when Uncle Larry comes over to your house and you're cleaning your bathroom afterwards and there's a pubic hair that you know isn't yours on the toilet. ew. But then again I'm not sure I want to think about other parts of Uncle Larry's body either. The other is that hair traps smells. Folks, that's a reason I think it's REALLY SEXY. If you are into your partner, I'm hoping you are into his/her smells, particularly the rather intimate smells. I'm very olfactory. I love the feel, the smell, and yes, the taste, of a hairy pussy. The hair broadcasts her pheremones. It's soft against my cheek. It's mysterious. And, you know what - it's natural. Adult women have hair down there. Trimming is fine - just like trimming head hair is fine (though I personally like it wild and untamed). I think shaving is weird-looking, but I see why women would do it and men like it. So folks - freedom of choice! Don't feel boxed in by society!
I acknowledge that that is my personal preference, and that my fully-bushed girlfriend might turn me on more than other women in a similar unshorn state. But I want to assure all women out there who are struggling with this issue that there are men who think Britney's bald junk is nasty.
