Kate!
I've known a goodly number of males in my 25 years and every one of them could distinguish a child from an adult, even without a thatch of dreadlocked rastapubes. Men are wily creatures. They look at the breasts and the waist and any number of things.
I cannot tell a lie, Kate, "muff" is a great word. It makes me think of something you can put your hands inside to keep them warm.
"Cunt" is great too, nice and forceful. It is the natural counterpart of "cock."
