    Keep the money

When this man was invited to stay at the house of the host he had every right to expect that he was staying in a safe secure environment. Is this the first theft to occur in this house? I doubt it! If not, the host had a duty to warn the guests, if so the host still had an obligation to provide a suitable environment for the guests. This money was stolen by agents of the host. A self respecting host should have provided reimbursement with no option of refusal, if only to efface the embarrassment they should feel. If these people feel no such embarrassment by this theft, then you enter their world at your peril. These are not nice people and you will continue to be burned by them. If you want to play in their world give the money to dad but be more aware of the world you are entering.
