Amanda, I see Sarah in a slightly different light. She uses her family as mere political props to advance her being. Each time she drags them out, there is poor little Piper, holding Trig, and seeing to his needs. Even Todd stands by and doesn't assist Piper. I have to wonder how much of her childhood she is giving up so that Momma can advance her political ambitions? I was divorced in my late 20s with two kids to support. I skrimped and borrowed to put myself finish my last two years of college, so I could take better care of my two children. I had no family "support" system, as both of my folks were deceased early in my life. I had the grades and the brains to go to Law School, but I chose to go to work rather than sacrifice my children to another 3 chaotic years that we would have had to live through. Being a tough Mama means making sacrifices and putting your children ahead of your ego and ambtions in most cases. I don't see Sarah as anything more than an opportunist and her kids are her last concern.

For a bunch of folks sitting in your parents' basements and typing on this blog, I am amazed at how well you think you know all the answers based only on the other blogs you read. One can only hope that the tables aren't turned one day and people from around the world begin judging you based soley on misinformation and half-truthes.

Was she ready? Maybe. Maybe not. But look honestly at the thin resume of our current Community Organizer in Chief and you have to put him in the same bucket. Arguably she has more executive experience than he has. She just does have the same PR people.

And as for inarticulate, PLEASE. I have two words for you: Joe Biden. One of the better decisions by our Community Organizer in Chief (or to be more precise - David Axelrod): make sure Joe Biden can screw up very little and gets as little air time as possible.

In comparing resumes, you'll see that indeed Obama's is a little thinner. He didn't attend NEARLY as many second rate schools for as long a period as it took the subject of many jokes and this article to achieve half of the academic achievements that he did. Yep, you are right as rain.

Palin exploited her children to advance herself. Her uninformed, ignorant speech about special needs children revealed what the parents of special needs children already knew that she knew nothing about needed legislation, pending legislation or passed legislation regarding special needs children. After cutting funding for special education and the special olympics in her state, pretending to champion the cause of special needs children was an impossible sell without the "word-salads".

Palin put the spotlight on her 14 year old, not Letterman. No one knew or cared who actually attended the ballgame so it was apparant that the reference was to the chid that she was forcing to campaign for abstinence when the 18 year old had already said that it wasn't a practical solution for reducing teen pregnancy. It certainly hadn't worked for her or for her mother.

Palin abandoned her constiutional obligation to her state because the job got hard. She says she not a quitter, she's a fighter and she had been losing the fights so she quit.
