So........

You're fat?

Tuesday, July 7, 2009 06:09 PM

Talk about eating your own

You people need to get a life. Every post is supposed to be the fountain of serious truth that you agree with? Ever heard of poetry or that truth and thought isn't a slogan? I don't think she thinks she represents every person or "truth", but you demand that of her. If you think she is...well you need to get a life and read and think a bit rather than getting your rocks off by posting stupid shit. You all take the importance of Rebbeca and your posting as an occasion of getting your panties in a wad-which only betrays your nihilistic desire for religion.

As one of first posters said...have any of you taken a poetry or English class?

Wow...some cultural concepts need to be fun.

It seems that rather than thinking about what she wrote or thinking yourself it became an opportunity for you to sharpen your sword. I guess this is the result of the self-importance of the internet.

Dining upon the infinite: provoked thoughts

Sigmund5 is “inclined towards women who enjoy what life has to offer,”

not to the stupid, the obsessive, the indulgent--the out-of-control.

But aren’t those who “entertain” upon “the possibilities that existence presents to us,”

taking in a whole big stupid-dumb lot, too? How can one do as much without looking a little silly, even if you take in but one small portion at a time?

How did being dumb before the infinite, get to seem not so dumb and indulgent?

PATRICK

I really can't believe I am answering you...talk about putting stupid words in my mouth and presenting a redherry you might want to look it up...but then again that would require being familiar with how language works.

Tuesday, July 7, 2009 06:53 PM

I guess I should go back to the Sarah Palin FaceBook page.

The logic is just about the same except they have a bit of sincerity and self-awareness.

@Canuckistan Bob

But I will never forget that cry from the back of the cafeteria. "I want more too!"

Where on Earth did you go to school? Oliver Twist U?

Tuesday, July 7, 2009 07:18 PM

A redherry pressie! Good times!

I was just hoping to have a chance to talk to you--no need to shop me a redherry pressie!

Why would language want to work, when it go . . . play! Rebecca plays! We play! Fun times, all! Yay!

I'm going to dolop a bit of sincerity on top of my cheerios tomorrow morning. I'm know it will taste good, but I sure hope it doesn't make me fat!

Tuesday, July 7, 2009 07:59 PM

Patrick...sorry

Sorry I meant to type red herring...You make less sense than I do. I checked out your page..are you really a redneck..not that I don't like rednecks

Tuesday, July 7, 2009 08:04 PM

PATRICK...your posts are rambling bs

I looked at some of you posts...but damn dude. If you think Fox is a shill for Obama or could ever...you are a wingnut and moonbat. Sorry to call names but damn dude once you get around to posting a logical post...

@Durian

@Canuckistan Bob

But I will never forget that cry from the back of the cafeteria. "I want more too!"

Where on Earth did you go to school? Oliver Twist U?

The point isn't that they weren't feeding people enough, they were, nor that the food was bad (it was middling, except on weekends, when 90% of the kids went home), it was that they were discriminating against the women, and the women fought back and won. Maybe over a small thing, but they won, and did it themselves, without any imported leadership or press coverage or any of the rest of that stuff.

Perhaps the discrimination was just because they could, perhaps it ws a handy way to make budget, perhaps it was simply based on stereotypes and cultural assumptions, perhaps it was all of the above. And maybe the Admin caved because the world had changed and they really couldn't justify it to themselves anymore.

In a group living situation, whether it is a dorm, a military mess, a prison, whatever, food becomes a pretty important thing. Enough to motivate a brave 19 year old to yell, "I want more!" I don't care if it was Oliver Twist or Rosa Parks or Betty Friedan, it was inspiring as all get out.

And the message I got from the whole experience was that, sometimes, maybe not often, when you fight authority, you sometimes win.

A thought that has informed my whole life since.

The other lesson I learnt was that women were getting awful tired of putting up with shit, and were starting to get downright uppity (a word one of the Admin guys actually used) and that I found that this was a Good Thing.

Another idea that has informed my whole life.

Finally it started nothing larger, and led to nothing larger, but in our small (I now realize) world, it meant a hell of a lot at the time. It was not a life changing experience, just a more dramatic example of a lot of stuff that I have learnt in small ways over my life.

Patrick McEvoy-Halston

Wow...I had nutin better to do and I went to your site..making up a lame bog site and shooting your mouth off with a couple of friends......well it doesn't matter. No problem you are incredibly jealous of Rebbeca. No problem with that

Tuesday, July 7, 2009 08:48 PM

The problem with much dude food...

...is that people who eat chick food, like me, pay the way of the dude fooders, via taxes, when their knee cartilage is ground away due to their guts and butts. Then there's renal failure, heart failure, and amputations due to diabetes.

Since America is past out of money and since healthcare will go away for middle class people, we better take care of our health. It's unpatriotic to eat poorly.

Tuesday, July 7, 2009 09:03 PM

Wow Rebecca

This is the first post that I found interesting...nutin personal.

But not up my dress, Sigmund

Thanks for looking at my posts, sigmund5. I'm flattered. But if i ever catch you looking up my dress--naughty!, naughty!

I like Rebecca. She's great. She wrote an article awhile ago about relationship battles, the sex wars, which was far more sincere and self-aware than it was in any way fun. Since that's the kind of thing you most like, maybe you've already read it. If not, you might want to chase it down. It certainly has stayed in my mind.

Best to you.
