Somewhat limited reach

The ruling applies to the capital region ... it is in effect an appellate ruling and might be able to be appealed to the highest court.

OTOH, its citation of privacy and so forth suggests it has reach beyond the LGBT (cited in the ruling) community.

Dude,

Studies show that this ruling affects 10% of 1.1 billion people (India's population). So, yes, this is at least worth a mention amidst anything happening in the Middle East.
