The feds take on Tiller's murder

And promise to investigate whether suspect Scott Roeder had accomplices.

The letters thread is now closed.

The man is a terrorist

According to the Republicans and Bush apologists, Roeder's terrorist status would entitle the government to:

1. Detain him indefinitely without charges.

2. Torture him to see what he knows, who his accomplices might be and whether he or his accomplices intend to harm others in the future.

3. Tie up any and all financial holdings of Roeder and his accomplices.

Why do I have a feeling that Rush Limbaugh wouldn't support these actions against this particular terrorist?

BILL O'REILLY!!!

Do I get some kind of reward?

Friday, June 5, 2009 02:18 PM

something stinks

You're awarded with Saturday and Sunday, try not to soil them.

Roeder already arrestable

under FACE, attempting to glue the doors shut on another facility the day before shooting Tiller.

"...but now the Department of Justice has announced that it's looking into whether suspect Scott Roeder had any bona fide accomplices."

"...bona fide accomplices..."

As opposed to the dreamed-up, nonexistent, phony, straw-men accomplices that Salon and Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow spent the better part of a week flagellating over...

sue the bastards

I say we take a page out of the Souther Poverty Law Center's playbook and sue the bastards. When the inevitable happens, a woman dies or suffers serious complications because she could not obtain a late-term abortion (because all the practitioners are either dead or retired because they fear being killed), I say we sue Operation Rescue and all their ilk. Let them respond to charges that because of their success, they have blood on THEIR hands.

Accomplices...

I think any person or organization that provokes and encourages the mentally unstable to do their dirty work for them definitely qualifies as an accomplice. It's just like hiring a hit man, only instead of money, the killer is rewarded with promises of God's love, salvation, and the respect of his like-minded peers. He'll be hailed a hero on the websites, and get some really nice letters while he rots in prison.

Nothing the DoJ says or does is to be trusted

Not until they bring a charge of terrorism against Roeder. Until then, they are just scoring political points for the President, who himself should insist the DoJ charge Roeder as a terrorist.

As for accomplices: Operation Rescue is a haven and fund-provider for domestic terrorists. If Muslim charities are guilty of aiding terrorists because they funnel money to Hamas, then a number of churches and anti-freedom groups like Operation Rescue ought to be investigated for same.

Of course, none of this will ever happen: the Obama Administration is chickenshit. They'll let state charges of murder stand, the FBI will find no "bona fide" accomplices (Elephantboy is not wrong on noticing that word, just stupidly interpreting it through his broken, foggy lens), and radical Christians will continue to murder those who disagree with them.

Until you are willing to deal with a thing as it is, for what it is, and not color it differently in order to make it easier, then you will never solve the problem.

Until our government - and our citizens - are willing to deal with these anti-American terrorists as they are, admit they are the same danger as an Al Qaeda suicide bomber and refuse to look upon them with deranged sympathy because they are White Christians, and further go after their funding networks (i.e. radical churches) as the law dictates and justice demands, then we will never be rid of the problem.

Slavery was once legal in the United States too

This wholesale, free-for-all slaughter too will pass.

the US will eventually join the world of civilized nations and outlaw ALL abortion after the 14th to 18th week, except in TRUE cases of risk of death to the mom or severe illness in the child.

Friday, June 5, 2009 04:29 PM

How is it 20% of the USA can control

the other 80% percent?

80% of America is against late term abortion.

OBVIOUSLY, something is dreadfully wrong that must be righted.

Justice and humanity alone should make this a no brainer.

Yet, feminists insist on painting themselves as bloodlusting holdouts.

STRANGE. really.

To Brightstar 2 - The Resurrection

Roeder shot a doctor. To death. In a church.

Yammer all you want - all of your pseudo-religious rhetoric won't change that fact. And every one who assisted him needs to go up as accomplices to that crime.

That goes for you, too, elephantman.

I agree, vigilante justice is not justice

yet still, would you have a problem if Hitler had been killed in 1941 by an enterprising German?

of course not, because you WANT free and easy baby sacrifice on demand.

Friday, June 5, 2009 05:15 PM

and no

I do not for a second believe that every abortion he ever performed was due to risk of death to mother or the baby being severely handicapped. I do believe feminists are out of control in this country, this being yet another datapoint proving this to be the case.

Why else to explain that in the most LIBERAL nation on the planet, Sweden, abortion is ILLEGAL after the 18th week? Yet here we have a small minority of feminists and their lackies controlling the law?

Justice WILL happen. More and more people are waking to the reality that late term elective abortion is murder and that clowns like this guy DID perform them at will.

Friday, June 5, 2009 05:43 PM

This Bears Repeating - Again

Kansas law prohibits late-term abortions unless the mother is in danger.

Dr. Tiller has not been convicted of violating that State Law. Antone suggesting otherwise is smoking bad dope.

Get it?

DimBulb

1) By what metric is Sweden the most LIBERAL (love the caps) nation in the world? How exactly is it more LIBERAL than say Norway or Switzerland or France or even Canada?

2) Sadly, but not unexpectedly, you are totally wrong about Swedish abortion law. The law actually is abortion on demand to 18 weeks, and abortion on review for health reasons (including rape, genetic/malformation/viability issues, maternal health, etc.) thereafter, up to 22 weeks, and thereafter, in critical life & death situations.

3) Oddly enough, there is no debate, nobody has been charged and gone to jail, and especially, no doctors have been killed.

If you want to launch an insane anti feminist pro Operation Rescue rant, fine, but at least do the minimum fact-checking on something like, oh I dunno, wickipedia. Ever heard of it?

here Brightstar!

Since you love what if's:

You are walking down a street when you suddenly smell smoke. Down the block, a fire is lighting up 2 adjacent buildings: a fertility clinic, where many frozen embryos are being stored for potential future implantation, and a day care center, dilled with actual living, breathing children. Fire trucks are on their way, but the buildings will be engulfed in flames before they arrive. Which building into you run into, and why?
