C- for execution
Pack heat.
I am not kidding. Nobody gave a damn about high school kids and bullying until Harris and Klebold killed people. Now that Columbine has been ignored and glossed over by everyone from Michael Moore to the school security guards, nobody will give a damn until more people die.
I believe that we need a Columbine, or a Virginia State, every year. Otherwise this freshman sidewalk thing, abuse and rape of fraternity pledges, and crap like the St. Pat's Day beatings at the U. of Missouri - Rolla will continue.
Gays and straights are equal in California. Civil unions grant the same rights as marriage. The majority of citizens don't want gay marriage. Democracy in action but a small, vocal minority of gays want to overturn the will of the people. That is fascism and it is what the Christian right did for years. Now we have to deal with the liberal propagandists who think because they go to an ivy league school that they are smarter than the rest. What a fallacy!! This shows just how education has been dumbed down.
So what if they're preaching to the choir? Sometimes you have to equip your side with arguments. All those preachers preaching bigotry to the people in the pews are preaching to the choir, but they won that election. Besides, it's not like college students are unanimously supportive of equal rights, just more likely to support them than older people. Even on campus, there are converts to be won, and what a creative protest.
That's pretty fresh 'n amazing
When does the new Princeton season start
For good 'ol Freshmen hazing?
These kids have a great point to make and I love how they're making it.
I hope that they can get this out to a larger audience, say, on the Colbert Report or something like that. Otherwise, they're more than likely just preaching to the choir, so to speak.
That's rich.
Seriously, can I blog for Broadsheet? About half the time you guys link to an article, I've already posted it on my Facebook the day before, or in this case, weeks before.

Unfortunately, there's an idiotic flame war going on now (it was only a matter of time), but the earliest comments that run with the joke are pretty hilarious. I liked this one best:
As a former freshman, I know the seduction of being a freshman, the carefree lifestyle, the attraction of youth. But through the strong moral guidance of my professors, I saw that my lifestyle was a choice, one I would come to regret. It took me almost a year to get away from the freshman lifestyle. It wasn't easy -- all my friends were freshmen, I found myself in classes surrounded by freshmen. But I finally moved on. Others can too. It's not been many years since I was a freshman, and I can confidently say I will never be a freshman again. I hope others can learn from my example.
I'm pretty sure you want "FreshmEn" so that the subject and verb will agree.
