Kate,

Why do you even bother with the usual twisted yammerings of Michael Savage? It's Monday, and Savage belts out another psychotic bon mot to emphasize his steadily deteriorating mental health. There is a great deal of amusement to be had listening to his decline, but after a while, it all just becomes schizophrenic white noise.

He's saying that

those who go to a dominatrix have mommy issues, not him. It's just typical stream-of-consciousness Savage stuff. You must not listen to him very often because these are hardly some of his more provocative quotes.

Michael Savage is an extreme idiot

And I usually give no interest to anything that xenophobic, racist, homophobic jerk says, but this time I have to say that if the jerk was right, America would be a much more happier nation.

Viva La Dominatrices!

Okay, but what about the article?

Making fun of Michael Savage is like shooting fish in a barrel. But what about the article? Do we still think it's great and empowering for college girls to moonlight as prostitutes (sorry, "escorts")?

What about self-parody of the day?

Today, Michael Savage.

Last week, Ariana Huffington on Colbert was so over the top she could hardly keep a straight face -- way beyond what Tracy Ullman would have done!

Then, you free up Quote of the Day for something a little more meaningful, be it uplifting, depressing or just informative.

he's an asshole for sure, although I can think of much better examples than this to prove it

but as far a keeping it to yourself, I thought women were against men being emotionally cut off. I've always suspected that if women couldn't make men like women they might prefer emotional absence to the alternative. Specifically in this instance for example there is really no difference between him saying what he said and women talking about how abusive and domineering fathers prevent/prevented them from liking/being able to relate to/liking sex with/ etc. men.

Dominatrices unite!

Yesterday, Svutlana go for cocktail party and somebody ask if I am dominatrix just because have stiletto heel on his trachea. Just kid me. Wear Svutlana white isontoner slipper and act extreme demure.

Nobody ever ask me before if I am dominatrix, but take me this as compliment.

FYI

Michael weiner (pen name Savag) is a plagiarizer who just borrows stuff from the the media and make circus geek comments to increase audience numbers. Just waste a Netflix delivery on Exit to Eden and you'll know where Weiner got his S&M mommie issues.

If he really had mommie issues he'd have prostituted his mother by writing a memoir.

I had heard that particular rant

He really is a Poet. But really, how can much of what he said be questioned? I mean it is us men who get to determine how we feel about certain things, nobody defines them for us, though feminists DO try. Which, VOILA!, just proves his point.

xenophobic, racist, homophobic

Actually if you had bothered to listen to him rather than just swallowing anti Weiner talking points wholesale, you would understand he is none of these things, not even CLOSE.

xenophobic - this is a joke, because Savage Weiner studied and traveled among the cultures of the South Pacific for decades (specifically for plant studies) and always has great stories to tell, many of them specifically about the many joys of the differences among cultures. What you are probably thinking is that he does not like that 50 million Mexicans were just allowed to mosey on over the border illegally and take all our low level jobs, something which 80% of the US thinks is criminal.

racist - I have never heard him say anything disparaging about any race. He even goes to pains to emphasize his love of meeting typical Muslims, for one example I can think of, and how they absolutely do NOT represent the extremists who target innocents.

homophobic - Few people like in-your-face activism. If gays had not decided to inflame tensions by calling their desire for legal parity in terms of money and benefits 'marriage', then they would have had a much easier time and their interests would have passed and become legal (something I agree should be done on behalf of gays). Sure, gays cannot help who they love, but to ask society to accept and endorse it as another form of marriage is beyond the pale. Weinie emphasizes repeatedly on his show that he does not care who you or I am doing between the sheets, but that the public sphere is no place to tout such libertinism, if only because children need not be exposed to certain things til they reach a certain age.

There is a reason Savage is Number Three in the country in terms of listeners. I at first also avoided him, because I bought what others had said about him. Listening to Savage I found out his detractors, MOSTLY LEFTISTS, were waging an inaccurate smear campaign (such an ENDEARING thing for leftists to do, huh? Makes me want to NEVER AGAIN trust a leftist).

Savage may be Three in terms of listeners, but because he actually speaks to TRUTH, he is ignored by the major mainstream muddlia, the exact LIE promulgators who are bought and paid for by the CIA/government goons.

you want open discussion and a healthy civic realm where all topics are open to discussion? HOW COME SAVAGE SEEMS TO BE ONE OF THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY ALLOWS THIS???

Smartypantses, you people name some other forum in ANY media that allows open discussion of issues important to Americans and that is open to ALL philosophies.

Righto, Savage is the only one I can think of, and of course, to some extent, our beloved Salon

What does a professional dominatrix do that an ordinary woman doesn't do in America today?

You mean besides wear "nicer" clothes?

Monday, December 8, 2008 11:37 AM

If you must listen to Savage

Make it Dan. Particularly with regard to dominatrices.

As for Mike Savage, to paraphrase the brillian Dan, ITMFA. Ignore the motherfucker, already.

Just in case you have not figured it out...

Michael Savage has some serious issues, the mommy issue is just one in an ever growing list, and should get himself into therapy very soon. I have been expecting to read in the morning paper about him committing suicide for years now.
