Whether Beech is lying or not...

These "relationships" have always existed. I have female relatives who have basically admitted to partaking in such dealings. When you're broke and there's not much economic opportunity or state dole to fall back on, if you meet an older man who's willing to pay your rent and pay for your food and take you out on a nice evening out - there's not much choice. And what if the guy treats you nicely - no abuse, no belittling?

Doing it for rent or doing it for fancy shoes and clothes or doing it for adventure? If no one's forcing her to do it, can someone exploit themselves? The countless men and women throughout the ages who have "married well" - and make no mistake about it - their clear intention and main motivation in life was to marry a wealthy and secure person - are they all whores?

If no one's being forced in to it, and no one's being beaten or tortured or robbed - who cares?

If I'm dating two attractive, funny women - one of which is filthy rich and the other is poor, I like them equally - if I choose to marry the rich one because frankly my life would be filled with comfort and fun and I'd be able to provide some measure of support for my loved ones (assuming my rich girlfriend is generous) - then am I a whore?
