    dickie:

How should I know if other women are lying?

    You don't either.

However, I would say that the sexual experience for women is probably vastly different than the sexual experience for men -- judging by letters written to Broadsheet.

Lots of things some men did managed to turn me off between the first meeting and somewhere down the road -- down the road meaning decision time.

I will say this: I believe women are more particular than men. We are fussier about manners. Many of us are fussier about cleanliness and grooming. I, speaking only for myself, am turned off by public cussing, cheap tippers, and men with bellowing voices. Men who take up what is more than is reasonable of their share of space or more than their share of the pie. Men who try to boss me around or push me around. Men who are harsh on their children (big red flag!) and talk hatefully about every past woman in their lives. (I also don't like female friends who back stab and gossip about their other friends.)

I always wanted someone who was FAIR in sharing household chores. I never met a single man that I thought would be. Instead, I met lots of men who wanted women to all the traditional things that women used to do AND STILL WORK OUTSIDE THE HOME.

Not being a fool, I decided to live a life that was more to my advantage. I have surely gotten lots of reading done.

If you are right and men want sex more than women do, that's men's problem, isn't it?

BECAUSE THE ONLY WAYS THAT MEN CAN CAUSE WOMEN TO HAVE SEX WITH THEY DON'T WANT TO ARE TWO: PURCHASE AND RAPE. One is illegal many places and the other both illegal and unconscionable.

We don't live in the jungle anymore.
