    Next, let's talk 18th century England. Marriages were arranged based on status and wealth. Jane Austen wrote like 50 zillion books about it, and my ex-gf made me watch all the movies.

    Not every woman was unhappy with the arrangement, some women liked status and wealth, and agreed happily to marriage based purely on those attributes. Were they whores?
