    50 zillion?

    Marriages were arranged based on status and wealth. Jane Austen wrote like 50 zillion books about it, and my ex-gf made me watch all the movies.

    More like 4 novels published in her lifetime, 2 posthumously, and one left unfinished at her death, plus a couple of fragments and some juvenilia.

    Of course every woman's romance novel written ever since is, to some extent, the progeny of Jane Austen, and perhaps this is what is referred to.
