What girl WOULDN'T want to lose her virginity to the kind of guy that would pay a million bucks to deflower a virgin?
Hope she's down with vaginal trauma. This will be no "gentle fuck"...
$0.00...in my experiences sleeping with virgins was not fun, lots of pain and tears despite my best efforts to be gentle and slow. Heck if I was going to pay for some loving at the bunny ranch I'd pick "Isabella Soprano" ;-)
But if she wants to do this, whyyyyyyyy the heck not...I fully support her.
This report is completely false. Howard flatly turned this proposal down. In fact he consider the whole idea very distasteful.
Groucho (to pretty lady at dinner): Would you sleep with me for $52 million?
Pretty lady (laughing): Of course!
Groucho (leering wildly): How about for $10?
Pretty lady: Mr. Marx, what do you take me for?
Groucho: We've already established what you are. Now we're just haggling over price.
Howard Stern is NOT auctioning off a girl's virginity. The girl herself is auctioning it off in conjunction with the Bunny Ranch brothel in Nevada. Howard Stern merely had the girl on the show to interview her about why she would do this, what the response has been, what her mother thinks of her decision, etc. Howard himself responded somewhat angrily to the Rush and Molloy story saying that he would never be responsible for an auction of this sort, specifically citing what his own daughters would think of him were he to stoop to something so vulgar.
It's very easy for some people to relexively think the worst of Howard Stern whenever his name is attached to a story like this, but the truth about what he does is more often far more benign.
Assuming this isn't a hoax to pump up ratings...
Or click throughs for that matter...
Couldn't Stern be cited/fined/arrested for solicitation in every market that he airs in?
Me thinks this is a very easy way to make money...how many times can one sell their Virginity afterall.
In our modern era of Hymen surgury, and nonsexual hymen breaks, one wonders what evidence this young woman is profering to these men that she is what she claims to be.
I guess let the buyer beware is always the caveat in these situations. Though one must wonder how a lovely, intelegent, 22 year old girl has managed to remain a virgin through out her college career yet has no problem whatsoever in trading on that perceived purity for profit.
This is of course a standard trope in liturature containing prostitution (Moll Flanders leaps to mind, among others) but in such situations it is of a woman with no recourse with her virginity confirmed by the house and little choice for the girl in it.
This situation is quite differnt, but if some fool wishes the privledge and the young lady consents que sera sera. As P.T. Barnum once said "A Fool and his money were lucky to get together in the first place".
One does however, find the girl course of study an interesting element, which again just adds to the probablity that this "virgin" is nothing of the sort. If a story is too good to believe, it probably is.
The actual crime would be facilitation of prostitution, which only becomes a crime when money exchanges hands. Since the money will exchange hands at the Brothel, and Howard Stern will likely not receive a cut, the case is pretty weak.
However, Mr. Stern would be in violation of the Mann Act if he pays for the woman's flight to Reno International Airport. The Mann Act however is rarely enforeced when consenting adults above the age of consent are involved.
Tracy, don't you think that you should fact check before you report a story that Stern is auctioning off a virgin?
The post from mrclownboy was absolutely correct. Stern simply had Dennis Hof, owner of the Bunny Ranch, and the young woman on as guests. Howard really did not make much of a joke about it and asked questions that would most likely not be too different from the questions that most anyone that hears of this would have. Thing like...Why do you want to do this? Aren't you afraid of the kind of guy (i.e. creep) that would bid millions for a girl's virginity?
Perhaps you just find Howard so distasteful that it is easy for you to believe that he does this sort of thing so why bother to check it out. If you had thought about it for a second you might have realized the legal ramifications of his doing such a thing.
Stern had nothing to do with this other than having the girl, her older sister, and the perv owner of the Bunny Ranch on his show this morning. Stern condemned the Rush & Malloy report, FWIW, and seemed to me at least to be trying to convince the girl not to do this.
The Dan Rather principle? - well technically it is not true but it could easily be...
Why the big deal about prostitution in Nevada? No one from Nevada is a heart beat away from the presidency. Alaska is also a prostitution state with many acknowledged brothels. Governor Palin is good with Alaska's "Brothel only" type of prostitution. Personally, I think Howard Stern shows much better taste than Sarah Palin, and he is capable of supporting himself without selling out to the whims of big oil companies.
I'll say it again
Howard Stern deserves our vote for president, Sarah Palin does not.
The Dan Rather principle? - well technically it is not true but it could easily be...
While a few of the details turned out to be fabricated, the general thrust of Dan Rather's infamous report has held up very well, having been independently confirmed in print by a number of sources.
In this case, Stern is certainly providing publicity, although Tracy's story is apparently dramatically wrong about "...when I read the news that he's auctioning off a girl's virginity on his show..." since that actually contradicts the linked article!
