The word in your headline for your article should have been breasts, not the other slang word. If I went in for an exam and the doctor used that word, I'd be pretty angry at the unprofessionalism. Why are you going along with it? When I heard that work growing up, it was teasing and sexual and often degrading. If people want to use it for sexual situations or just casual conversation, fine. But not for important news stories.
It's an important new tool.
I bet not.
first of all @maria s. , if you must be grammatically " college correct" , they are called BREASTS. I personally call mine "titties"," my lil'honeys" or " lesbian love handles", BUT would just as well be angry if any professional called them anything but breasts or bosoms!
anyway, this new MBI technology sounds even better then the new kind of mammograms called MRI's; which I, as transsexual woman; had my first of last year. unlike all the fears I was told about how much " those mammograms really hurt so bad"; the MRI thingy only gave the slightest pressure
UN-fortunately, here is the problem! at $1,000 cool bucks, will your insurance pay for this procedure?
I had enough problems with medicare denying my $409 MRI based upon their assumption that I, as a pre-operation transwoman legally female in both name and on my driver's license; am still the " M" thing they have me down as since birth. this even after writing a 14 page[typed] appeals letter to them detailing everything as well as enclosing both CT driver's license with that " F " and a picture of me in a pink camisole in which the fact that I have nearly " C-cup" breasts was definitely obvoius.
but for those whose insurance, like perhaps so many companies, will not pay for these MBI's- maybe once OBAMA[ I hope!!!!] gets in and we all have non-discriminatory universal health care like canada has for over 10 years??? then these will be covered FOR ALL by universal health care!
At first think Svutlana this headline mean construction worker have new way for see through clothes for check out breast of women who walk by. Fortunate, story that follows is good news, but tend for agree me with reader who say breast is much better word for use in cancer screening context.
And shouldn't be much of a factor in determining whether to opt for this new diagnostic tool.
Catching breast cancer early is very important, not only does it offer more treatment options and greater chance of full recovery, but emotionally it gives people time to both make informed decisions and feel they are not rushed.
Some women opt for more radical treatment, such as preventive double mastectomies, and having time to reflect upon this choices brings a certain sense of comfort.
BTW, nothing in this should be taken as I object to any treatment options, only that having time to weigh options makes people more comfortable with their decisions is the long run.
There are many good websites about treatment and detection, here is but one.

That sounds like a punk band.
