"C.S. Lewis (crazy as that nutjob was)..."
Yeah. Clive Staples' stupid "Chronicles of Narnia" was nothing compared to the compleat works of renowned (and rotund!) genius-in-overalls, Andrea "Gimme Donuts" Dworkin.
"The whole idea is for the soft-skulled who desperately need to believe something to feel better about death."
And death is what, exactly? Does anyone know for sure what happens then? Atheists "believe" nothing else happens. But do they "know"? Does anyone know when, precisely, they go to sleep? Or what sleep is? And why we need it? Or why a lion, king of the jungle, sleeps 20 hours a day?
Does goddess believe in atheists?
Is there a special hell for misandrists?
Or abortion worshippers?
"women need abortions and...control over their bodies. Because women are not always in the right place to have a child...Her reasons...are perfectly reasonable..."
So, will feminists now cheer men who walk out on women when they, too, feel abused, not ready, etc.?
Guys don't abort their wives, they just take control over their bodies by putting distance between their bodies and distasteful situations. They, like women, assess their "personal situations in life" amidst sundry complexities and nuances, and do what's right for themselves (despite feeling regret when so people call it abandonment or worse).
"no one knows if souls are really real and if they are real when they enter a person. It's a philosophical discussion, not a scientific one."
Really? What makes a live person different than a cadaver? What makes someone in a coma different from one fully alive? Call it "soul" or whatever but there is definitely SOMETHING beyond the soma and body systems.
Most scientists are religious. Most laws are religion-based, too. Laws against stealing are based on those of religions. If a religion said it was okay to steal, and most people in a country had that faith, no laws would stop theft.
Laws codify ways people already have agreed to live. And laws alone never match the force of religions.
How do feminists treat males who make mistakes, experience hard times, try to make the best of things, aren't well-informed, aren't ready for fatherhood, don't make sparkling conversation, are scared, experience complexities and nuances, and want to make their own moral judgments?
Oh, right: MEN must suffer consequences. THEIR feet must be held to fires. THEY must receive no mercy. THEY deserve scorn and women kicking out whatever emotional crutches they have holding them up.
Of course, feminists say they hate those pre-Roe views when they adversely affect women.
And if Roe is overturned? Feminists will urge women to disobey the law. Yet they expect men to obey sexist laws that hold men to higher and harsher standards.
Feminist misandry rides again (hopefully soon off a thelma-and-louise cliff).
"She spoke her personal truth about her experiences with abortion, and she did it publicly...I applaud the bravery she showed...[S]he provided comfort and inspiration for many other women with similar experiences, values and beliefs...[E]ach person’s experience with abortion is unique."
"No one can judge us but God."
So when who neither kill babies nor fetuses will no longer be judged or punished by human laws for neither marrying the mother or paying for an unwanted child? They, too, will have equal respect and rights and get equal understanding and compassion?
Thought so.
Under every gift that feminists give to women is a bill forced on men.
Just remember: Roe was created by humans and can be annulled by them, too. And you can be certain that feminists will be howling when their own "You shoulda kept your pants on!" and "It's all about the children!" shite comes back to bite them.
The economy is tanking. We are at war with 2 countries. Don't count on men to be indulgent of misandry forever. Sooner or later they will get angry enough to act on their own behalf.
Should have read:
"So men, who neither kill babies nor fetuses, will no longer be judged or punished by human laws for neither marrying the mother nor paying for an unwanted child?"
I can't believe there is an audience for The View. Except for Whoopi Goldberg, what a gathering of losers.
Don't housewives have anything better to do than watch this TV garbage? How about trying some quality time with your kids--or even homeschooling them. Better than the pathetic public school education they are not getting these days.
Basically people have a way of following religious beliefs to avoid taking responsibility for their own actions....
and by sheri talking about the way she "used to be" she's always
speaking of her choices like they were ...not her fault...out of her control....she was not herself...outside of herself....letting something else make choices for her.....
AND SHE IS STILL DOING IT (apparently)
back when she was clinging to men and having crazy sex with abusive men
if you said, "sheri, god thinks it is wrong for you to do this"
she would have said "get out of my face"
she wasn't on drugs (i guess) so there's not that excuse
and the people who should have been there for her (her parents)
were not
(because they could not talk to her about the reality of penis + vagina +sperm = baby)
that's really not that difficult to do--unless everything is demonized (and it probably was)
they put the fate of sheri's life in god's hands instead of talking with her, loving her and
protecting her
and so look what happened
and remember they were practicing (?) jehovah's witness'
and look how their daughter turned out....
and now she has worked through it and she is successful
but think that by her bringing it up now
she is separating herself from THOSE people (remember the one's she is NOT)
she only has to sit up on a self-righteous high horse
because she would NEVER have an abortion.....now. no way!
so what she seems to be doing is what christians call "witnessing"
which to me is a sort of sales pitch........
this is really all i can say......
