    Okay, maybe it wasn't the best thing to be said, but after listening to it, it certainly wasn't the worst. He slipped, and in a way that could be construed as nicely as it could be construed poorly. I am not above calling friends Honey, or Pumpkin, or Sweetheart or anything else, and having friends call me the same things. I don't get offended, I find it personable and endearing. Perhaps the reporter wasn't Obama's friend and his comment was too personable. On the other hand, from Obama's tone it was clear that he was treating her like a friend.

    If we want every politician to say the right thing at every moment of every day someone should finally get off their rear and nominate God. Oh, that's right, God won't run - God is above it all ;-).
