PoodleTard
The med/sickness industry is tied into the food industry is tied into the media industry.
Occam's Razor for you: They have a similar interest in generating as much business as possible.
THEY WILL NOT TELL YOU THE TRUTH, they will do what it takes ot generate the most income for
1. the MEDIA
2. the FOOD INDUSTRY
3. the THE SICKNESS INDUSTRY
Of course they will make their sing song pseudo logic fly by convincing you to not eat fats.
Yet still, the evidence stares you quite in the face that in other societies people eat loads of fats and oils, yet THEY REMAIN THIN by comparison to Americans.
The DIFFERENCE? France and Italy scoff at American food brands and their reckless adulteration of food products.
You can make up logic on the fly based on third grade child ruminations, but REALITY is more complex and simpler than that.
On the other hand, fuck it, let people listen to your tarded kool aid programming and have them keep growing ever more obese.
Darwinism at its finest-- people too stupid and gullible to know to not trust an industrial machine working at full speed and arrayed AGAINST THEM and FOR profit.

(like the abuse of Nicotine patches that is ENCOURAGED by idiots here!!!)
I think all that was what is commonly referred to as "tongue-in-cheek", ma'am.
You can't be blamed for taking it seriously, though, because in this format, comments don't logically follow one another. Here's where I start banging on about threaded discussions again.

brightstar65 may be offbase about the literal physical effects of aspartame and whatnot, but his larger point, about how agribusiness conspires against a largely-ignorant public in the service of profit and nothing but profit, is essentially correct. Americans' food IS a chemistry set, and we don't know what all those tongue-twister fillers and compounds are doing to us. Eating simple, healthy food IS more difficult and more expensive here than it is in other places. People ARE in the dark about what they're actually eating, because they've swallowed the industry's line of bull about what is "healthy" (that tube of Go-Gurt, laden with HFCS and soy fillers, f'rinstance).
It's a sorry state of affairs, and it deserves a close, critical look.

hatred and stupidity? No surprise that you possess these in abundance
I read your impotent diatribes directed at me and have to laugh.
Or Brightstar, officially one of the most screwed up, insecure people on the Planet Earth
Your stupid opinion. I believe modern man hating feminists are some of the most screwed up, insecure people on the Planet Earth. Does this make it RIGHT then too?
-- giving diet advice?
I merely express my own struggles with having been overweight and my many tries at losing the weight and my ULTIMATE success doing what I said I do in my post.
GEE, something works and I express what I am doing right seemingly. But your utter hatred of me makes everything I say wrong to you.
Because we all know how he despises women, especially "nasty dogs" (i.e., women who are his equivalent in looks).
Do we know? I love women. If I despised them, why would I care about men and women getting along?
As for the nasty dog comment, I have never expressed distaste for unattractive women. I really have no opinion either way on whether I like or dislike someone based on their looks. Some of the ugliest personalities I ever knew were physically attractive and some of the best humans I have ever known were considered unattractive by most people.
I am much DEEPER than you are, apparently, because your whole existence revolves around the axis of beautiful/desired and ugly/undesired. I do not choose friends or lovers based primarily on looks, but primarily on PERSONALITY and kindness.
YET, I would be shocked if you told me you were dating 'quasimodo' because of his personality. Likelier, you are just as shallow and stupid as you seem to be on these boards. SO we have here a man hating chick who herself does what she does not want guys to do, which is to pick lovers based on looks primarily.
BTW: there is no evidence, over decades of usage, that aspartame or Splenda cause any of the diseases you mention.
Two words: "DICK Rumsfeld".
He flogged aspartame on behalf of industry til the FDA passed it into the food supply DESPITE ample scientific evidence arrayed against it.
Bush in eight years has systematically destroyed this nation and he has considered Rummy a key component of his jihad against America.
Yet you trust aspartame? Once again, you prove yourself to be an imbecile. American people DESERVE what they are getting, in their government, in their food supply, in their culture, if everyone 'thinks' (*shudder*) like you do.
On the other hand, the "Shangri-la diet" is just another stupid fad diet, scientifically unproven and untested, that is sold to the gullible.
It is a new diet, so it is not proven nor is it disproven, YET. If you bothered to read any science about it, including the guy's own experiments, you might not have been so quick to dismiss it.
I tell you, by the empirical evidence of my personal experience, that the Shangri La Diet has worked for me for TWO YEARS NOW.
Really, I am GLAD you disbelieve anything I say. I hope you turn obese, if you are not already, because you did not want to listen to an HONEST human like me, preferring to watch the shadows in your dark cave being generated by people with interests diametrically in OPPOSITION TO YOURS.
If people think like you do, the human race is soooo doomed and stupid.

“The more important point is that if you are of a normal weight and you beat yourself up for looking "fat" in your clothes, THAT IS SERIOUSLY FUCKED UP.”
I disagree. Not all clothing look as good on the hanger, or separately, as it will together and on. This morning I was all dressed and ready to go and at the last minute I decided the t-shirt I was wearing was a little short for the skirt I have on and it would be a more flattering outfit for me with a longer top. I did LOOK fat. So I changed tops. Problem solved. No crazy diet necessary even if that was my knee jerk reaction. I look great today – I’ve gotten a couple of compliments. I just don’t see how that’s an eating disorder. And if my clothing gets too tight? I make double sure to eat breakfast (my skipping this meal is my worst diet habit) and I eat lots of whole foods and stay away from candy (I love candy too). Moderation.
Honestly – I think pointing out what size you are is SERIOUDLY FUCKED UP because it says nothing about your health or the way you look. Is an 8 small? Is it healthy? I’ll bet there are plenty of 14s who rock it way better and lots of 4s who look like junkies. We all carry our weight and muscle differently – I really do think my spin in front of the mirror, and keeping an eye on how my favorite jeans fit and how my skin looks is the way to go.
On Thanksgiving I do binge. The next day I can hardly eat a thing. And when I eat something that really disagrees with me I will puke it up rather then letting it run through me. I’m not half starved. I haven’t stepped on a scale since my last doctor’s visit. But I feel fine. I look fine. It’s all ok. And yet according to ‘Self’ I’ve got some serious problems. Like I said before – this is why I don’t read beauty magazines.
