Because we all know...
...that teenage girls didn't fool around before birth control was widely available and society "condoned" teen-age sex. Oh... wait. Never mind.

Abstinence goes against human nature
That's right, unwanted pregnancy and STD are just punishments for fornication. Treats them right!
Come on and get real, people. Mother nature causes teenagers to thirst for sex. For millions of years it was a proven strategy to find mates and start the next generation early when life expectancy was 30 years. Girls found a mate (married) soon after the onset of menstruation. Today most women don't marry until late in their 20s, often later. And we expect them to remain chaste? Those who manage probably have a low sex drive, others lose it over the years. But most will follow the urge given them by mother nature.

Scary.
What is so scary is how these school based programs undermine parents' educational efforts. My kids have been told about birth control and STDs, in an open & honest fashion, since they were 9 or 10. Now that they are in their teens, what they are hearing at school, from peers and "educators" (quote/unquote, in this instance), is that condoms have a high failure rate, that STDs happen to people who are drug users... all manner of crap. My spouse & I have to try to undo harm & correct the misinformation.
I HATE my government for paying for these lies.

What IS it about 25%
And if the cost of chivalry is a 25 percent STD rate for girls and more unwanted pregnancy, ...
When I worked Baragwanath Hospital outside Soweto in days-long-gone-by the rate for gonorrhea among parturient women was 25%.
Today in that same [I think] demographic I was surprised by something I ran across giving the rate for HIV as...you guessed it. Twenty-five (25%) percent.
[These women -across Africa- are contracting HIV almost entirely -as I understand it- from their men.]
It's an epidemiological thing obviously....in any population. Hmm?

It's not men, it's your ever lovin' church puttin' you down.
Cope fems. It's not men, it's your ever lovin' church puttin' you down. And it ain't no conspiracy, it's survival of the fittest. If sex is hunky dory, then church is exxon. It may be jesus is truth, but christian america loves to throw that stone.
So, call a spade a spade or go the way of the chimpanzee.

Plan B
Somebody needs to send a memo to these shmucks who think Plan B encourages people to have unprotected sex and let them know that it costs $50 a dose. So those "ignorant sluts" who are running around having sex with anyone really cna't afford to rely on Plan B anyway!
