Well, let's flip that question - Is it the baby's fault that the women was raped and impregnated from that rape?
"As a side note, that argument always ends up seeming like a baby is a necessary punishment for the "irresponsible" action of having sex. It doesn't seem to be a very healthy way of looking at things, if a fetus is carried to term it should be because its wanted, not because its a bizarre archaic form of punishment."
If a baby is carried to full term and is not wanted, there is always the option of putting it up for adoption. Yet that option is rarely mentioned. I actually wonder why that is.
