We can argue over the morality of prostitution, but it's not all about men victimizing women.

    That can't reflect current statistics. I'm sure for the last couple years their neighbor to the north, Baltimore, has dramatically surpassed them both in rate and in number. I think even cities like Philadelphia and Detroit have exploded past our capitol in violence and murder. Legalized prostitution in DC wouldn't be a disaster. Heck, it might even finally put that murder capitol lable to rest. But there would have to be congressional support for such a thing, and while congressmen might benefit enormously, I just don't think they'd let the issue go rather than score family values political points on it. Politicians seem to prefer to keep their personal vices... dirty.
