Seriously, how about not buying these magazines, okay? And maybe not even talking about them? I've long been sick to death of these people.
Remember girls, being a feminist means all women's choices are valid, except the ones we don't like, amirite?
Maybe she should wrap a shawl around her head and go into seclusion?
I do think she should formally apologize for "I Know Who Killed Me," but I don't think that means she shouldn't be out in public.
What Lohan really needs is to get involved with an up-and-coming screenwriter/director with a punkish sensibility and star in a movie that is about themes/issues related to her own troubles. Then she could smartly play off of her public persona and be seen as somebody who has come to terms with her problems, but exploited them for good quality cathartic entertainment!
That would be the American way.
Why didn't she just say, "We're giving attention to an attention whore, and money to a compulsive spendthrift. Our 'rehab' consists of feeding her addictions and sinking her even deeper in the quicksand of superficial celebrity worship. Don't worry, she'll resume her pitiful downward spiral soon enough, and then she'll make the covers of these magazines again, but the portraits will be far less flattering." At least that would have been honest...
