I always wonder what provokes that sort of incoherent rage.... It's interesting, in a freaky, scary sort of way.
We know what provokes it: the average man has no real power anymore. He never had much but what has changed is that now he has much less than the average woman. Women have the kinds of power that they have always had PLUS now they have half (more or less) of the money and the power that goes with that. It's actually worse than that because there's a threshold with money; once you have enough to survive you don't really need more and you can tell whoever has the other half of it to go fuck themselves if you feel like it.
What I DON'T understand though is why so many men can't seem to see that reserving the presidency for a man isn't going to help them one bit with any of this. In fact a presidential glass ceiling makes things worse for men because it gives women an excuse to deny the real situation while in reality affecting so few women that it actually means nothing.

@Cdevlin & anon @ 12:24
I'm not a man. I know it might be shocking to realize that not all liberal women support Hillary Clinton, and it certainly would have reinforced your stereotyping if I just ignored your conclusion that I was Just A Man Who Doesn't Get It, Sister, but I am happy to burst your bubble on this one. I don't want Obama to win based on my desire to enforce the patriarchy. I want Obama to win because I think he would make a better president. And also because he is not Hillary Clinton.
So... who's the one making sexist assumptions, doll?
-
And also because he is not Hillary Clinton.
So, as a woman, what is it that bothers you so much about her? It doesn't really make sense to me that you would be bothered by her because you think other women will support her because they are mad at men, so what is it.

Obama is "above" Hillary...Literally!
The only way Obama builds himself up is by tearing Hillary Clinton down! Period! Plain and simple! Oh, and also by comparing himself to JFK, MLK,and numerous others that are way more respected and experienced than he is. Also by getting endorsed by cult leading hypocrites like Oprah and flip floppers like John Kerry. He also stays very silent while it is overwhelmingly loud that the black people are voting for him because they think the Clinton's are racist!
Instead of standing before his supporters and saying himself, "I know I may think the Clinton's are a lot of things, but racist they are not! Let me bare witness to this fact and please do not judge them based on the belief they are racist, but because you feel Hillary or myself are the candidate of your choice!" Something graceful like that for real instead of pretending he is above it all! But nnooooo why would he do that if he can achieve his political agenda this way? It ruins the plans of divide and conquer so he will remain silent unless it benefits him and him only!

Anon @ 1:11,
it's called an election.
There are two candidates.
Only one will win.
Each is trying to win.
If you choose to interpret these facts as "Obama is trying to tear Hillary down," then that is your right. But expect the rest of us to: 1) laugh at you for not understanding how elections work, and 2) use your "outrage" as more proof that Hillary supporters have persecution complexes.
-
the bottom line with all of this is that anyone who can't see that the differences between clinton and obama are trivial
compared to the differences between both of them and any republican is either irrational or lying (lots of hillary hating "obama supporters" clearly are both; many are obviously republicans trying to promote obama but they can't restrain themselves from expressing their irrational hatred of hillary even though it reveals them). Some Hillary supporters do go over the top with their negative reactions to obama too but not as many of them do it as much or with as much intensity.

Anon @ 1:04,
Have you ever had someone tell you that they would never vote for Hillary just because she was a woman? How did that make you feel? I imagine that it would make you feel angry that the person was sexist. You might think that this person didn't have very good reasoning skills.
OK, so that's how you feel when you hear that some people will not support Hillary just because she's a woman.
Ready for this? That's EXACTLY how I feel about women like you, who support Hillary BECAUSE she's a woman. I feel that they are sexist, and that they don't have good reasoning skills.
Did I blow your mind?
-
Anon @ 1:27,
Right, everyone who doesn't support Hillary is a Republican. All Democrats support Hillary.
Which is why she's currently losing the Democratic primary.
-
you didn't say you supported obama because he is not a woman you said it was because he was not hillary clinton
did you really mean that you support him because he is not a woman or did you mean to say what you actually did say which is that you have some problem with Hillary Clinton specifically. It obviously is not necessary to point out to someone with any reasoning skills that a candidate is who they are and has the qualifications they have (or don't have) whether people support them for the "right" or for the "wrong" reasons.
-
obviously lots of democrats support obama getting the democratic nomination and equally obviously lots of republicans support obama getting the democratic nomination
as is evident from the way the republican media also known as the mainstream media has been relentless promoting him for a year and has refused to print a critical word about him. Up until a few days ago, and it may still be the case, Clinton had actually gotten more total democratic primary votes than obama even though he has won a lot more states.

Hillary Clinton, The First Woman President of the USA!
I am voting for Hillary Clinton because it is clear she is the best candidate that happens to be a female. The reason I point her out as being the first female President is because that is simply just a historical fact.
I do not support her just because she is a female though. I support her because I believe in her, I believe she is the most prepared and organized individual for this job in every aspect. I believe she will provide insurance to all Americans with shared responsibility, not leaving us to the mercy of the Big Insurance Companies which Obama's plan will along with not covering all Americans. I also believe she will be the only one to end the war not only expediently, but efficiently. You cannot just yank them out like Obama wants to, just to say he is "ending the war" meanwhile leaving chaos behind. I believe that Hillary will create more jobs, stimulate the economy more efficiently for all Americans, not just the chosen few. She will ensure there is more access to College Education by offering low interest loans with interest caps. She is also willing to help pay for your College if you stay in your chosen field for at least 10 years in your community. Obama just wants to give you a tax credit and make you donate your time to the peace corp or the military and do at least one year of community service, which is noble, but that is going way too far. That is not a free country where you pay taxes to live, not pay taxes AND be forced to perform mandatory community service for a year. Hillary has already been the one to get S-CHIP which has already been insuring millions of children that would otherwise not have insurance. She will also continue her diplomatic work by communicating with our allies around the world to help restore our reputation in the world again which is very important. It is important that we build that bridge and trust again, because when we are not trusted, we are at risk of being isolated more than we already are. She has also already improved funding for the Veterans and increased their pay as well as the pay of all the civil servants, but you won't see that on the news! She is also going to give us the "Hate Crime" bill we have been longing for forever. This would make all crimes that are done in hate or discrimination against gay, young, old, white, black, female, male, etc. that would increase their sentencing. I could go on and on, but I should not have to. Plus, she is a leader with exquisite eloquence and deep wisdom that many of us only wish to have. I admire her. I admire her strength and tenacity. I admire her reserve and tolerance. She knows how to roll with the punches and she knows when to pick her battles. That is what you need in a leader. Someone who can give and take, not just take and label those who do not give you your way. Someone that has foresight as well as insight. Compassion with tough love. That is what we need again in a leader. One that we can truly aspire to be.
Oh yeah, and Obama is also trying to raise the age of retirement for SS, along with other proposals that will only help the Republicans privatize SS. This should scare everyone. Especially those who are around the peak of retirement and have been contributing for many years.
The only ones who are negative towards her are those that are either too young to know better, the ones who do not appreciate her quality and loyal dedication, Ex-Republicans, Republicans, Insecure jealous people who do not want to see them succeed at anything, and ignorant Obama supporters that believe every bad thing he says about the Clintons. She has been tested with proven results, Obama has not. I do not want a candidate that the Republicans want! That creeps me out, especially since they are the ones that gave us George Bush for 8 years. YUCK! As far as those who shame McCain for being too old, it fascinates me that no one points out that if this took place where civil rights protected the candidates(and they should), there would be a lot of people in trouble for not only for gender discrimination, but age discrimination as well.
It is Obama and his supporters that are negative and cult like preaching about hope as if he invented it, acting worse than the religious radical right. "If you do not believe you can, then you do not have hope"-Obama's words, not mine! Well actually I do have hope but not in a way that he would favor because it is not praising of him! He is no different than the Republicans that use fear mongering to fear the Democrats into believing if they do not vote for him then they are not ready for change and do not have hope!
So based on experience as well as acknowledging the real root of the problems we face today, which is what George Bush & Co. have left behind! Wait for Pandora’s box! Hillary Clinton is the only candidate I believe can fix and solve these problems with her skill at multitasking and having insight and wisdom.
