Of Course... Let's Attack the Messenger
Quote of the day: Obama on Clinton
"I understand that Senator Clinton, periodically when she's feeling down, launches attacks as a way of trying to boost her appeal."
--Sen. Barack Obama speaking about Sen. Hillary Clinton's campaign tactics to reporters on Friday, as quoted by the Associated Press.

Of Course, Barack Obama is avoiding debates with Hillary Clinton. It would be obvious he has no specifics to talk about, that is unless one of his staff hands them to him on his way to the speaker's rostrum, or sets them up on the teleprompter.
So Mr. Obama's response is to naturally attack the messenger. That's great.
To continue, let me address the reader here in this fine Salon.com communication center.
Wisconsin's election on Tuesday will be “close” for Hillary Rodham Clinton; but I feel she can win in Texas and Ohio, and will then pull ahead in delegate count. It’s absolutely vital though that Mrs. Clinton gets a strong vote count in Wisconsin on Tuesday. We have to show the country, she can pull ahead and is the “comeback kid”. I ask all great Wisconsin people come out and hit those polls.
Following from the above, I ask all Wisconsin voters to spend 30 minutes doing some research before voting Tuesday.
Go to the Hillary Clinton website, and go to the Issues section, Speeches of Newsroom section, and now a section called “The Fact Hub” in the same Newsroom section.
First, understand Hillary Clinton has been developing and working on this Presidential run — her preparation and planning that is for 3-4 years. For Barack Obama, running for President is a whole new idea for him that he just came up with six months or so ago.
On health care, Hillary Rodham Clinton’s plan will cover everybody. The plan of Mr. Obama won’t. Go into the above “Fact Hub”. Approximately 15 million people will have no coverage under the Obama plan. 15 million people is 5% of the population of all living Americans, and maybe or maybe not, you will or will not have health care coverage under an Obama plan.
Also, read more in the above “The Fact Hub” and you will see untruths and distortions coming from Barack Obama on Hillary Clinton that are false and just not true.
I ask all Americans to listen to what the two candidates are saying, and equally important – what they are not saying. Mrs. Clinton is giving us specifics with a plan. She knows what she’s doing. Mr. Obama is giving us no plan. But his oratory and rhetoric is unbelievable. Every time I hear him I start to feel lifted up. I start to say “pass the plate”, then I realize it is all hot air and empty rhetoric. It reminds me of the great oratory, and rightfully so please of Jesse Jackson in his 1988 campaign to be the Democratic nominee for President with his great lift up our spirits phrase of “Keep Hope Alive”. Mr. Jackson is a great American, a hero to me and many of us. I can believe him. Mr. Obama, I can’t.
Hillary Rodham Clinton should be our nominee for President. She is ready. She has the plans with the specifics, she is ready to lead us all on major change, but I would like to see Barack Obama continue his preaching. The legendary and great Reverend Billy Graham is ailing now, and I can see Mr. Obama coming in and helping out, such as starting his own center of ministry in parallel. The country can use it after these past seven years of lies, deceit, pontification, mistrust, and deep self-interest actions by this current federal government all for the benefit of a privileged few.
Additionally, please go to two excellent articles just published. One is in the Washington Post, and go to Charles Krauthammer, and his excellent article just published titled: “The Audacity of Selling Hope”. I won’t say more, just please study carefully. Also, go to the New York Times website, and go to Paul Krugman and his recent article titled: “Hate Springs Eternal”.
Please study each carefully. Both say we should go with the person who we know can get the job done..... and that is Hillary Rodham Clinton.
I ask the dear folks in Wisconsin, Texas, Ohio, and the remaining states to study all this carefully, and I believe you will agree. Thank you.
