When Hillary attacks!
  • The 90s were great

Robert Franklin, you miust be young because anybody old enough to remember the 90s knows that Bil Clinton was a good president. In the last 40 years--yes 40--only two Democrats have won the presidency, and only Bill Clinton was elected twice.

So give me a break with this Bill Clinton bashing. I'm sick of it. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of policy AND he could inspire. He won southern states. And he won CA, which had been voting Republican before that. He began the end of the GOPs Southern Strategy. And he appointed more minorities and women to his Cabinet than any previous president, and the GOP viciously attacked him for it. By the time Dubya did the same thing, appointing minorities and women was seen as normal. There would have been no Condi Rice, Colin Powell, or Obama without Bill Clinton.

Now in this Obama campaign, Bill has been rewritten as some racist and the 90s and all of the gains and good things of that decade are being trashed. OBama can't compete with that record of accomplishment, so he has to erase it or denigrate it.

His young minions might fall for it, but not me.
