    I see subtext

    First of all, why is this a quote of the day? Seems pretty un-noteworthy to me. But if we're going to dissect remember that all words in these statments are carefully chosen for maximum impact.

    " ... periodically ... when she's feeling down ..."

    No one sees a "period" reference here, like he's implying that Hillary is on the rag or has PMS? Cause it's pretty obvious to me.
