"Can you provide references for a single situation, where Obama took a stand on a controversial issue and worked to get a common sense resolution?"
Are you telling me that you have been reading about the issues enough to understand the Exelon situation (by the way the bill requiring mandated leak reportage is still in the senate and being blocked right now but the bill is still not finished and still requires) but you haven't even one read about ethics reform?
There's coalition building around a common sense resolution. And Obama was part of that. So actually was John McCain. Hillary Clinton famously told Feingold he wasn't living in the real world over this issue.
So there you have the single situation you asked for. I could give you more, but you only asked for one, and I have the feeling that you aren't listening to anyone on the other side anyway, no offense.

There are fair and reasonable ways to compare and contrast competing campaigns.
That's not the Clinton way.
In the Clinton way, and in the manner of her DERANGED and IDIOTIC PARTISANS whose names you are well familiar with, attacks are without bounds. Nothing is out of limits, even though this is a Democratic primary. You can destroy your fellow democrat, accuse them of whatever you want, and other Clinton partisans applaud and tell you what a good job you are doing.
A month ago, I was for Edwards and Richardson and Dodd. They dropped out, unfortunately. So, I had to choose. The vitriol dripping from the Clinton supporters, and their simple blatant stupidity, convinced me that Hillary was not my girl.
Obama is not a perfect guy, that's for sure. I have plenty of questions. I am also not entirely averse to Hillary, and would vote for her. But I WILL NOT GIVE HER A DIME AS LONG THESE TOTAL MORONS POST THESE DISGUSTING AND STUPID POSTS "SUPPORTING" her.
Every time the CLinton supporters post crap, another vote for Hillary goes to Obama.

"Every time the CLinton supporters post crap, another vote for Hillary goes to Obama."
Dataguyz, has it ever occured to you that every time you post calling people names several votes may move over to the Hillary column? It is not as if you are exactly Dale Carnegie.

Problems with Obama - "cover" is his middle name
In the Nation magazine, there were a series of posts:
"questioning positions he'd taken that appeared to belie his progressive image, most prominently his vote for a corporate-written "reform" of class-action lawsuits, his refusal to frontally challenge the Iraq War after running as an antiwar candidate and his vote to confirm Condoleezza Rice as Secretary of State......."

He has been unprogressive, but...he spins well, you have to give him that. He has never taken on the Tigers of corporations or taken on a controversal. He has been the master of dodging hard work. He never worked hard, and when it comes to a choice of political danger or his image, he picks image. And people give him a pass.
"He seems like everything to everybody, which is not necessarily his fault. Much of the media coverage of Obama has been personality focused, as the story of the son of a Kenyan and a Kansan, the third African-American senator since Reconstruction. Because the media have not looked as closely at his political positions, Obama has taken on the quality of a blank screen on which people can project whatever they like. "

Really?
Since Nov, Hillary has gone from 30 pts ahead of Barack to dead even. So, "Dataguyz (sic), has it ever occured to you that every time you post calling people names several votes may move over to the Hillary column? It is not as if you are exactly Dale Carnegie." No, it's never occurred to me. I see hundreds of people nauseated by Clintonite racist card playing, Clintonite garbage about the abortion vote, etc. Hillary has pretty much maxed out, and the votes are going to Barack. We'll see what happens in the Potomac primary, but I predict good results for Barack, and a consequent bump in his ratings.
I suggest that instead of attacking Barack, you Hillary folks start focussing on McCain. He's beating Hillary by 3 pt, while dead even with Barack. You got your work cut out for you.

AKA has a point, dataguyx
It doesn't matter where the negativity and name-calling come from, or how much truth is in a given scandal or controversy. Negativity does not sway people from one candidate to another. It only makes people cynical and suppresses voter interest and turnout. If you really want to help Obama, you will get a lot further by being positive. Especially since he's supposed to be the inspiring candidate of hope. If you want to spread his message, at least stay on message.
