@Lynx, whatever, you're shifting the goalposts your original post was just male bashing
about some git too stupid to use a condom because you were making the clearly nonsensical claim that women haven't been known to sabotage condoms or try to get pregnant in various ways.
Nice try. Better luck next time.

It wasn't male bashing, it was a sarcastic remark about that one guy's statement followed by a little "that one guy" bashing.
Smart, responsible men don't have these worries.

Something else that's five minutes ago...
Sorry to go off-topic, but can we please declare a moratorium on shoehorning in gratuitous references to the Nintendo Wii, in an attempt to seem all hip and with-it? It's been done to death, and in this case, the metaphor doesn't even work.
-
@ bryan s., sorry, but
we could call it the "wii wii". Sorry, couldn't resist!
-
the reason men don't like condoms linx is because they ruin sex for the man(although because, and only because, men are so horny not enough to make them give it up altogether)
this of course is why so many women hostile to men are thrilled with the idea of them. (That and the fact that when a man uses a condom his partner knows everything that's going on and many women feel, (since the world in general is such a conspiracy against them), that the exclusive ability to use reversible contraception that only the woman knows the status of is the least compensation she is entitled to.)
-
Oh nonsense
Any sensible person is in favor of condoms for STI prevention, no other form of BC does as much to protect people who are actually having sex from STI's. Any sensible woman, even if she's on the pill or sterile, would insist on condom use with a new partner or one she knew was non-monogamous.

Why get a reversal?
Why not adopt? I know it's not easy, but it has to be easier than more surgery to one's crotch. It also makes perfect sense to adopt before making more mouths to feed, but that's another thing I just don't understand... I also don't understand why nobody's mentioned all the other kinds of sex that can't result in pregnancy, not to mention all the contraceptive methods that have been largely forgotten (apparently with the encouragement of the chemical BC industry.)

um, lynx
The whole point is that you DIDN'T expect the person to betray you. That's why it's called "betrayal."
Me, I got the snip. Best decision ever.

Shorter Lynx, I can't be racist, some of my best friends are black! I'm not sexist, you need a sense of humor!
It wasn't male bashing, it was a sarcastic remark about that one guy's statement followed by a little "that one guy" bashing.
Smart, responsible men don't have these worries.
"I wasn't bashing African Americans! It was a sarcastic remark about that one black guy's statement followed by a little "that one black guy" bashing.
Smart, articulate African Americans don't have these worries."
"I wasn't bashing women! YOu need a sense of humor! I was making fun of that one woman!!! It's funny, get over it!"
Sorry Lynn, the guy's statement made perfect sense. You decided to bash all men with your statement.
You like to be divisive. You like to be a bully. You like to say that your shit don't stink and you pretend your vagina shoots out magical peace rays.
The rest of us know better.

You are utterly full of crap and you know it. There, now I've apparently called everyone in the world who uses symbols in their name "full od crap". Apparently that's you and Prince and the lead singer from ? and the Mysterians.
Of course, that's not true. You're simply a moron who can't manage to come up with a cogent argument to save his soul. You hate all women, so you figure everyone else must hate all (fill in the blank).
You have nothing to say unless you're putting words in someone else's mouth. That's the only way you manage to argue anything 'cause any other way everyone else in the world sounds smarter than you.
See, there I did refer to a group. Everyone else in the world. Smarter than you. Got it? I'll say it one more time so you get it clearly. You, and I'm ONLY referring to you here, not whatever group you manage to cobble together in your deluded, fog-filled brain, You are an imbicile.

I side with Symbol Boy and others
Lynx is a bully, and a nasty, self-deceptive one at that.
-
I am often full of crap, and I don't pretend I'm not.
See that's the difference, I know my shit stinks, and I know your shit stinks too. This is one reason I come to listen and speak with people that disagree with me, so that all of us can learn.
It's why I try not to make generalizations based on race, creed, color, religion, age, sex, gender, gender identification, or veteran's status.
Because I respect people for their views and value their experiences and I honor their individuality.
It's why I mock the Broadsheet Feminist(TM) line of talking points groupthink and the speech codes and thought policing that goes on to suppress any dissenting point of view.
It's why I call myself a progressive liberal.

Clip n' snip.
I found the vasectomy to be no big deal, but honestly, the squirm factor is much more mental than physical.
My SO is too squeamish to give blood but made it through The Cut just fine. He doesn't get why people make such a big deal out of it. I'm inclined to agree, but as I don't own those bits, I'll just take his word for it.

Even if this device works,
I wonder what it costs. Men won't have equality in their reproductive choices until they have something that is as cheap, easy to use and effective as the pill and related methods that are readily available to women. There are just too many men in the world who can't afford surgery.
-
the reason vasectomies are a problem is becaue they are PERMANENT
NOBODY ever has or every would make a big deal about it for any other reason. The female snickering over "squeamish men" who are supposedly so sensitive while they ignore this most obvious reason WHY vasectomies could be a problem really a classic proof that everything men say about women's contempt for men (and their dishonesty, or at best irrationality) is true. I guarantee you if vasectomies could be reversed with the flip of a switch at no cost men wouldn't be "squeamish" about them.

"something that is as cheap as the pill"
(Re: Robert Franklin)
As *cheap* as the pill?! So the approximately $30 per month I've paid for 14 years equals $5,040 and I've got about another 10 years of fertility to go. That isn't hysterectomy expensive, but it ain't cheap. Sometimes generics are an option, but my current pill has no generic. Before that, my last generic got so popular they raised the cost to premium level and made second knockoff that didn't work the same. Pills are not interchangeable -- if you can find one that doesn't make you crazy (not everyone can) you often can't switch to save money.
