  • From one Anonymous to the Demented Anonymous

Gloria Steinem is not here. Have you even noticed? She would probably be delighted to be proven wrong. Why don't go and email her care of The New York Times and stop being an assinine plague.

  • Cliches go both ways

Of course, it was matter of time until a Broadsheet reader seizes the opportunity to use some worn-out cliches which bash men (this is sexism, of course). No matter that this did not have anything to do with the topic discussed.

she "reminds me of my first wife." (presumably the smart, capable one that put them through school and bore their children and who they left for some unchallenging bimbo)

But stereotypes can go both ways.

Yes, the one who made his life miserable, nagging him, controlling him, denying him sex and spending all his money on useless cr*p while degenerating into a fat cow. The one who divorced him (70% of divorces are initiated by women), stripped him of all the assets he earned through hard work, made him pay alimony and child support and denied him the possibility of having a normal relationship with his children.

The one who watched him rebuilt his life with a woman who treated him well while she was alone and bitter. The one who, instead of admiting her responsability in their actions, whined endlessly about "He is intimidated by a strong woman" and vented over and over again her frustration on Broadsheet.

It is offensive and unfair, isn't it? The same as your original remark.

  • From demented anonymous to anonymous

Of course, Gloria Steinem is not here, my dear anonymous. But a lot of feminist Broadsheet readers who supported her point in the first place are. So it is the time for them to say "Well, I was wrong. Hillary can win and all the cr*p I said before was simply not true".

Will they admit this? The jury is still out... But I guess they will not. Admiting a mistake = Impossible for a feminist.

And, well, you can insult me, but I don't care. I know feminists are bad-mannered people. When they are confronted with an opinion different than theirs and then ran out of arguments, they recur to "ad hominem" attacks, insults and emotional outbursts. So predictable.

So, before you use your old cliches, I will admit them all in advance. I am demented, bitter, angry, gay, male-chauvinist, have a short penis (a really tiny one), cannot get a girlfriend, have issues, etc.

So what? This does not make the falsity true. Truth is truth, whoever says it.

    Yours,

    Demented Anonymous.

  • Brightstar, baby, is that you? Of course it is.

Anonymous 12:34 AM is our own brightstar65. Only brightstar65 could write such self-pitying clap-trap.

  • ABB

Angry Black Bitch (angryblackbitch.blogspot.com) has a great post on this -- "I'm Worried Too, Ms. Steinem...." Go see.

  • Typical Agent Smith

"I am tempted to tell you to get the hell off my team, "

Since I've been for Edwards for about a year now, and you've been for Edwards for a few days by your own admission, why don't you get the fuck off of my team?

No, I didn't write that, and that's your typical blindness in play. Any message you don't like and you complain, waaah! Any forum you read, you must be the drama queen and it must all revolve around you, waaah!

And again, Agent Smith, just tell us your real name instead of hiding behind your double anonymous reference.

Up yours with your thought and speech policing.

  • No, I do not hide behind Anonymi

I am demented, bitter, angry, gay, male-chauvinist, have a short penis (a really tiny one), cannot get a girlfriend, have issues, etc.

It should be obvious to feminists by now that those seeking truth and, thus, committed to attacking the lies of modern feminism come in all shapes and sizes.

From demented, gay guys with short penises to sane, straight guys with long penises like me.

  • AKA: I will attack feminism becuase it has racist aspects ..I will never retreat from honesty

I do not care if you are not polite or resent my opinons about white woman and thier inherent bias against black woman. White woman were privledge females as a result of thier being white in this country, they were indeed surrogate white masters often in thier interactions with black woman.

If you cannot shallow that truth then remain ignorant and defensive that will be lethal for you if you plan to have any significant relations with Black woman. At the end of the day the feminism movement relegated black woman as margainal almost artifacts in this movement.

Black woman of course have to deal with gender issues and sexism within the Black community yet when they dealt with white woman they got racism and even sexism from white woman if you can understand this truth.

With regard to Edwards he is a 2nd rate talent, not a leader of men, he is a paperpusher, a script reader, a burecrat leader and a perfect VP . Edwards could not inspire himself nor others to elevate the passion one needs to change this country.

Edward is out of element when comparing him to HRC and of course Obama. Edwards is a nice guy but clearly not the person one whould expect to keep hope alive and take our country to another level, he simply lacks the grit and cultural dna to accomplish that...

  • Thrasher, has it escaped your notice that you haven't made any real comment about feminism . . .

except that you think it is racism. If you think feminism is racism just because white women have been feminists, then you need to somehow support that statement with evidence. I am a logos type of person. I like evidence. I have never been convinced by hysteria. Has the feminist movement had conflicts from within because of clashes about how feminism would support this group or than group? Sure it has. When I actually attended NOW meeting in the small city I lived in in the 90s (No I won't name the town, but it was not a suburb.) It was in the desert Southwest. There was not a single black member. There were only 15 members. The entire black population of that city was something like 0.03 percent. There were 3 Hispanic members and a big fuss about the lesbian agenda. Was a focus upon gay and lesbian rights distract from more important issues of feminism? Another major concern was domestic violence. A local policeman's wife (who was separated from her husband) had been abused and stalked by her husband, using his police buddies to keep tabs on her.

Your problem is that you seem to make all these assumption about people based on little evidence. Your problem is that you have not made one statement proving that feminism would be anymore racist or not than any other movement that arose when it did -- late 60s for the feminism which most influenced me. Your problem is that you haven't countered my points but attacked my character. Your problem is that you are arguing using pathos and ethos (very poorly I might add) and absolutely no logos. You are trying to win you point by verbal fist shaking and are ignoring the fact that I can't counter your point, because you have made no case for yourself. No, calling me a racist just is not the same thing as proving your point.

If you want to have a rational discussion, go ahead and give it a try. Present some facts rather than mere assertions.

If you want to say the Obama campaign opposes feminism, then go ahead and say so, but maybe you should offer some facts for that as well.

Frankly, I don't think you are doing your particular candidate any good.

If you think white women are racists just because they are white, then make your case.

If you want to make it out that I, in particular, am racist just because I am a feminist then you can try. I don't especially worry about how people label me. But you don't know me. You are merely making assumptions without evidence, and you know what they say about assumptions.

Go ahead. This thread is yours.
