Tests are under way on a new pill for women with lagging libidos.
  • Why must women's problems always be in their head?!!

Isn't this what feminists have fought so hard against for years? Lots of things can cause low libido. If it is an emotional/psychological issue, all the testosterone in the world isn't going to get the tingle going. It would be nice for women to have something to try to rule out a physical cause before having to start seeing a shrink (which most health insurance doesn't cover) over low libido. And then there is the vicious cycle of getting depressed because you have a low libido, which may have physical origins, but is now compounded by depression and stress. Maybe a woman's emotional state would be lifted by getting her libido back. It seems like the medical estabishment can't win. If they seek out physical reasons for women's conditions, they're ignoring our emotions and seeking to profit off of us. If they tell us our problems are psychological, they're condecending, patronizing and paternalistic.

And this headline is wrong, the product being tested is a topical testosterone cream, not a pill.
