Everytime a Spears gets pregnant...
an angel gets it's banjo!
"Kansas Taliban" Priceless!

You certainly are shaming Jamie Lynn Spears. To suggest that Spears got pregnant to profit off of it is shameful.
I did no such thing. I merely pointed out that she and her mother have profitted financially from this pregnancy which is a fact.
BTW, how is Spears 'taking responsiblity'? I don't think that judgement can be made until the baby is born and we see how she parents.

It sounds to me that you are trying to shame Jamie Lynn Spears and her mother, because they "profited"!!!
Should they be ashamed because they profited?
You apparently think so, I don't.
"BTW, how is Spears 'taking responsiblity'? I don't think that judgement can be made until the baby is born and we see how she parents."
Need I point out the obvious, Kim??? JLS was up front, and acknowledges that she is pregnant to the whole world. Isn't that the definition of taking responsibility for a pregnancy?
She also has made it clear that she intends to use her resources to care for her child.
JLS is certainly not a model we hope every girl will follow, but she is taking responsibility for what she did, and she is making the best out of a less than enviable situation.
I wish Jamie Lynn Spears the best of luck, and I think everyone, pro-choice or not, should do likewike.
I repeat again.
Jamie Lynn Spears, if you are listening, you have this pro-choice, progressively left man's full support, and I hope you do well with all the choices you make in your life.

No, it is not or at least not in my book. By your logic then, anyone with an unplanned pregnancy who admits they are pregnant is 'taking responsiblity'. If that is the defination of responsiblity then maybe that defination needs to be changed or at least greatly enlarged.
She also has made it clear that she intends to use her resources to care for her child.
The only resources she seems to have is a much bigger bank account than the average 16 year old. I certainly don't know how she or any other 16 year old has the emotional capacity to take on parenting. Also, I daresay her immediate family isn't much of a resource. As I recall, having a lot of money certainly did not help her older sister who was at least married and of legal age when she became a mother.

FYI
Though I think a few people were irked that Tom Brady got not one, but two women accidentally pregnant, more or less in the same time frame. However I am sure Tom Brady will be a good father to both kids, and I hope he goes undefeated all the way to the Super Bowl this year.
Tom Brady has only 1 child and that is with his 37 year old ex-girlfriend. He did not get two women pregnant at the same time.

Please stop calling me Fet Boy, it's fetboy (one word with a lower case f).
You are not getting me. You and I are on the same page politically on the underlining issue here, but throwing shit at and shaming a 16 year pregnant girl is the last thing I am ever going do.
As pro-choice we respect everyone's "choices."
Did it occur to you that Jamie Lynn Spears might need our support and understanding?
Please save your wraith for the people who deserve it; the fundies and anti-sexers who want to demonize JLS for having sex at the age of 16, which I believe is the age of consent in her home state.

My mistake!!!
Sorry Kim 1977.
For some reason I thought Tom Brady had gotten both Gisele Bündchen and Bridget Moynahan pregnant.
Shows how much I know about celebrity gossip.
Still, I am sure Tom Brady will be a great father.

So, saying that Jamie Lynn Spears and her mother have shamelessly cashed in on her unplanned pregnancy is 'shaming' her and 'throwing sh** at her'? That's interesting. . . Again, I am pointing out a fact here and IMHO, it is more than a bit disturbing how they have cashed in on this.
Did it occur to you that Jamie Lynn Spears might need our support and understanding?
Considering that I don't personally know Ms. Spears and probably never will, she would probably benefit more from the support of those closest to her. And frankly, I don't believe that her mother is giving her much parental support or at least it doesn't seem that way since her mother reportedly let her minor daughter live with an 18 year old man.
Please save your wraith (sic) for the people who deserve it
I can honestly say that I don't hold any wrath towards Ms. Spears. If anything, I pity for her and her unborn child for being born into that dyfunctional clan.

I agree with you entirely, but I am not going to shame them for trying to make the best out of an unenviable situation, certainly not JLS, who is only 16.
"I don't believe that her mother is giving her much parental support or at least it doesn't seem that way since her mother reportedly let her minor daughter live with an 18 year old man."
I agree with you entirely again, and the antics of her mother are all the more reason to give JLS our understanding and support.
