Scientist: Women, stop destroying the planet!

Sir David King says women interested in reducing global warming should stop checking out men in Ferraris.

yes, you are all absolutely right

Yes. Women, as a group, do not tend to gravitate towards wealthy / powerful men. It is preposterous to think that wealthy and powerful men, and those not so fortunate, actually attempt to display their wealth and power with displays of conspicuous consumption. That never happens. Neither one of those things are true. You are all completely right.

GIVE ME A BREAK

The comment was stupid but it holds validity. Women go after wealthy / powerful men who typically display it through conspicuous consumption that, more often than not, is not 'green'.

If it didn't work, men wouldn't do it. Men don't buy (blood) diamond rings and drive big cars because they don't get congratulated for it. Face it, as a group, you're complicit.

And now the howling will begin ... of course it's not YOU specifically -- pay more attention to your surroundings and not the flaming bra in your hand. This is a feminist blog on a liberal website. The percentage of the female population of the U.S. that would even be interested in reading this is, what, 15%? So talk to your sisters or something. Don’t be facetious and lack the intellectual honesty to ignore the truth and insist about YOU would just love some scruffy granola boy on the back of a scwhinn. Not everything is about YOU.

Men pay more attention to cars than women do

As a general rule. So, a Ferrarri will impress a lot more guys than women.

BTW, Juliebird, if you ever see a Ferrarri driving down the street, you'll notice. They're very different from the average coupe. (Which isn't to say you'll be impressed, but you will notice.) The 100,000$ Daimlers and Mercedes don't stand out. You'd have to care to figure out that is a ton of money on wheels.

That's Silly Juliebird

You're a woman, you're not suppose to know anything about Ferraris (or any other car for that matter), only that the they are expensive, and that the men who drive them like to spend outrageous amount of money on impractical items they don't need.

If you know too much about cars, auto mechanics wont be able to overcharge you as much as they often try to (just because you are a woman).

To all men that want to buy impractical, expensive cars. Remember that there are billions of kids in the world with keys or small pieces of metal, and there are millions of adults that know how to hotwire a vehicle.

raise your hands, girls

if you could tell the difference between a Ferrari and any other coupe.

I couldn't. (Is a Ferrari even a coupe?)

I know a great many, many things in this life.

What a Ferrari looks like, or caring, isn't one of them.

To All

You know what they say about men who drive Ferraris (or other expensive impractical cars)???

They spend too much time and money on auto maintenance (boring), and at the fuel pump. Money that could be better spent on things like nice evenings and dinners out, or on romantic vacations.

How many women really want a man who is in love with his car?

If I had money, and I really wanted to flaunt it to impress women, I would do what every woman likes, I would stock her refrigerator and kitchen with healthy organic food.

Being a man

Yeah, it is about time men were judged by the qualities that really make a man; their sexual techniques and abilities in the bedroom. Ladies, if your man doesn't know where your clitoris is, is unwilling to lick it, and doesn't put in at least 20 minutes of foreplay before he suggest you allow him to penetrate you, then dump the dude, because he isn't a man at all (he is just a penis with an inactive brain). And ladies, you all really should set an example on this one. Demand oral sex and quality foreplay, before you ever allow him to possibly get you pregnant, and if he fails in oral and foreplay techniques, then put the word out to other ladies that he is no good. Gradually you all will separate the real men from the pathetic losers.

And I will do my part, though it will take me some time. I am going to work on started the fetboy institute where real men (under the guidance of women) will teach potential men how to be quality lovers. Yes, we will be granting certifications in the areas of clitoris knowledge, oral stimulation, sensual massage, kind tender kissing, and proper nipple attention. And yes, we will print those certifications on to picture ID cards that real men can keep in their wallets.

But the fetboy institute will take a while to get up and running, so in the meanwhile it will be up you ladies to separate the losers from the real men. Consider it a vital service that you are providing to all women.

Women, women, women.

"First we get the money, then we get the power, then we get the women."

I forget what movie that's from ("Scarface"?), but it seems to sum up the male worldview, at least among the less advanced among us men (not I, of course). It does take a certain amount of mental effort, derived from an open mind, good parenting, and other environmental factors, to move beyond our most base desires. Unfortunately, the lust for power, if not women, is rampant -- see Cheney, Dick: the man who would rape the world.

I submit that much of what's wrong with the world is the lust for power, and perhaps horniness, though I think moreso power. Ferraris are just signs of power, and babe magnets. That, or they're pretty cool cars for those who can afford them and care about such things.

Anyway, chicks who dig guys on bikes are way cooler, and probably much better in bed.

The caps lock feature is convenient.

Thanks! Almost as good as the 'ignore' feature I've been lobbying for. Now if everyone but brightstar would stop using bold, my brain could go into auto-ignore without reading a single word of that drivel either.

Forgot to add...

I think overall, I'll give your trolling efforts 7/10. Caps lock is a plus, that just yells "hey, look, troll here!" If I actually believed BS65 was serious, I'd say your efforts were lower, but since I think he's just trolling to get a rise out of people, I'd put you two on the same level. And that means, both are amusing!
