We may live in the only time and culture in human history where Jennifer Love Hewitt's body would be called "over weight". I just looked at that picture. My only complaint was that there wasn't one of her from the back. She looks HOT!

You know what's going on here, right? These "men" are hunting and gang-raping women who have had the temerity to not conceal every part of their femininity. Their only crime is that these women tempt men. But what about a woman is not a temptation to a male who has no outlet for his innate, human, sexual desire?
Don't kid yourself, the killings are only to cover up the crime. How convenient that the men who perpertrate this heinous behavior are able to say they are carrying out Allah's will. And how sick.
This outrage will end the moment this abomination of a religion is lifted off these people. In other words, it will never end.

But, you'd first have to get past her grotesquely, hideously, over-inflated lips to have any chance of knocking out a tooth. She has wayyyyyyy too much cushion there.

Back when newsrooms were good ol' boy clubs the major isues for women as seen by male editors seemed to be big boobs and female fat. Gee, Broadsheet, now that we have feminist news pages, I'm sooooooo glad to see you've moved beyond --- oh, wait a minute.

She's slagged on Tyra out of bitterness
Janice used to be a judge on Tyra's "America's Next Top Model" for a couple seasons - until she was, ummm, "replaced".
My guess is that her slagging Tyra for being fat is not so much her honest opinion as it is petty, vindictive bitterness...you know, "Mean Girls" style.

Like it or not, women's world seems to always be tits, lips and hair.
While it is laudable that a few women have stepped up and made an earnest effort to be more to the world than this, becoming leaders, the overwhelming majority of women prefer the low risk historic approach of lying low and playing to the racehorses, the rich and the powerful men, as their bread and butter.
Sad but true. All fifty years of feminism did was ruin the family and society, but women are still too risk averse to bother trying to make something MORE of themselves than their T&A assets.
Worse yet, I am afraid the few gains women have made to take on some measure of responsibility on this planet are REVERSING.

You know, I was actually working on a letter when I had a moment of clarity and realized that I was about to post a letter on a thread about Jennifer Love Hewitt, Janice Dickinson and Tyra Banks.

...that the evil perpetrators of the "women must be stick-thin" body standard are, in fact, other WOMEN?
I've never seen a guy be as vicious-ruthless-meanspirited about a woman with a few curves as women when they talk about each other.
As for JLH, her figure looks great, but I do think she looks a bit less "balanced" since having the breast reduction.

Actually, I think women are harder on themselves than they are on each other, generally. The biggest PR mistake of the century for feminism has been letting the Right get away with painting us as anti-male. In fact, the most anti-male women in my life and in the media are not feminists; they're very comfortable with deeply entrenched gender roles, including their own self-hatred and their competitive hatred of other women.
And MAV, it is not shallow to keep your finger on the pulse of the still-healthy anti-fat campaign of women against themselves. You won't see the Broadsheet writers posting snarky headlines about celebrities' orange peel and cellulite here; but commentary on sites that do that is expected and - for those of us who would not otherwise see such sites and therefore not know what kind of world our girls and boys are really growing up in - welcome. I don't usually read them, as there is usually much more interesting commentary on topics that are much closer to my heart, like reduced access to contraception for poor women. There is no fixed page or word count here, so there's room for all of it.

Big Dick strikes again!
Ja-not-so-nice Dickinson has a reputation, for giving harsh criticism to anyone who aspires to be beautiful, that she absolutely must maintain. We should not be surprised when Big Dick calls Tyra Banks fat, because it is her responsibility to the beauty community to make everybody uncomfortable and body self-conscious. She admited to killing her father, so personally I am shocked that Big Dick could ever say anything even romotely nice about anyone, much less JLH.

if you want to know what men like look at the women in porn not the women in fashion
this should be fairly obvious since the only men who know what fashion even is are gay. I'm not suggesting that seeing what men apparently DO like will necessarily make you happy, but anorexic women clearly are NOT the height of attractiveness.
