"30 Reasons Girls Should Call It a Night"

A Facebook group celebrates photos of drunken girls vomiting on themselves and passed out in bushes.

Why?

"Why are young women posting blackout photos and drunken crotch-shots on Facebook for the world, including their friends, classmates and co-workers, to see?"

Because there is no longer any stigma associated with that type of behavior. The richest most celebrated people in America do it all the time. Even the president is well known to have been a blow addict and fall down drunkard.

It's all about sponging enough money off someone else to not care about anything. And these photos prove they are successful in that endeavor.

Because they don't like having jobs?

These college aged women are going to be pretty shocked when they find out how many employers will look at Facebook as part of the hiring process.

Why is the media always so concerned about female drunkenne over male drunkenness

Men are far more likely when drinking/drunk to engage in all manner of anti-social behavior: take a leak in public, commit vandalism, exhort women to 'show us your tits', get in fights, and also attempt and sometime succeed at sexual coercion and violence. Yet pics of this not exactly uncommon behavior are rarely splashed around in the media to the tune of 'oh dear me what is beocming of men these days' headlines.

So some girls get drunk and take a pee in pubic, and can't be shamed into hiding their faces for the rest of their lives the next day. So what?

Nothing Alarming Here

Except possibly the following:

* Most of the empowered feminists pictured are between 14 and 19 years old. Really, really young people getting ripped. Nothing new, but still. Wow.

* A number of said empowered females are engaged in psuedo-lesbian (perhaps actual lesbian??) activity. Again, free expression and god bless those 3rd (4th or 5th??) wave feminists for that.

* Most are either exposing themselves (empowered choice in action) or are in the process of exposing themselves, assuming they are not passed out. I dont see potential danger in any of this- its all empowerment, baby.

* I dont think theres a *30 reasons Drunk Dudes Should Call it a Night* One of many reasons why is nobody cares- dudes have been passing out for generations, getiing in fights- alot of those dudes end up getting arrested and/orin fights and that's not nearly as funny.

You wonder how many of said drunk dudes took the photos- and there are literally thousands of them. Probably a few, hence, its tough to be ina photo that youre busing taking.

You get the idea. You go, girls; just keep posting it on the web and you'll get no complaints from me.

Wow that's sad

That is failure divided be zero.

Why, this is clearly another case of...

...SLUT-SHAMING! Trying to SHAME women for insufficient ladylike behavior! Trying to SHAME us for enjoying a party-hearty lifestyle!

This blatant, flagrant SLUT-SHAMING WILL NOT STAND!

The answer is simple ...

... they likely have problems with alcohol.

Stats:

- Rates of binge alcohol use (4= drinks for women/5+ drinks for men) in 2006 were 1.5 percent among 12 or 13 year olds, 8.9 percent among 14 or 15 year olds, 20.0 percent among 16 or 17 year olds, 36.2 percent among persons aged 18 to 20, and 46.1 percent among those aged 21 to 25. The rate peaked at ages 21 to 23 (49.3 percent at age 21, 48.9 percent at age 22, and 47.2 percent at age 23), then decreased beyond young adulthood from 34.2 percent of 26 to 34 year olds to 18.4 percent of persons aged 35 or older.

- In 2006, 57.0 percent of males aged 12 or older were current drinkers, higher than the rate for females (45.2 percent). However, among youths aged 12 to 17, the percentage of males who were current drinkers (16.3 percent) was similar to the rate for females (17.0 percent).

- Among adults aged 18 to 25, an estimated 57.9 percent of females and 65.9 percent of males reported current drinking in 2006. The 2006 rate among females aged 18 to 25 is higher than the 2005 rate of 55.4 percent.

Tracy, the person doing the SLUT SHAMING here is YOU

They are sexual creatures as we all are, and they have rational reasons for their actions, and who are you to question that?

Who cares what these women are doing? Why are YOU making it into a big deal? Why are YOU SLUT SHAMING these women?

And here I thought women were adult, rational, effective agents. If they need protection, maybe we should just keep them barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen?

The problem is not about the public drunkeness and its display...

The problem is that for the most part Americans are lame when drunk.

Women get to expose themselves or engage in pseudo-lesbian action. Men get to start fighting and engage into fairly homo erotic activities. And both genders engage in the all American obnoxious "wooohoooo" scream for no apparent reason when someone does something.

And at some point, these sweetheart lesbianite amateur strippers will grow up to become unsatisfied soccer mums with too much free time and sense of entitlement roving around for yet another excuse to bitch and moan. And these brave homo jocks will become good GOP soldiers, driving back from work in their new mega duper 2-story high SUV to their beautiful McMansion in suburbia. And the circle will once again be completed, when their offspring find another way of making something that should be fun and turn it into another lame way of objectify and exploit people.

I don't mind drunken behavior. What pisses me off is the lameness of it all in many parts of this country. No wonder night life here sucks. Many cultures in the world are able to drink in public, have a nice time, and be uninhibited enough to do things like... *gasp* have a good time while being mildly intoxicated.

BTW, It's helpful when you link to NSFW pictures to state clearly that they are NSFW

That link was NSFW.

@koko4kaka, you can decry faux lesbianism, and decry faux homoerotic activites

But when you take on "Woohoo!" you're taking on Homer Simpson, and that my friend, means you're going to have to take me on.

Are we clear?

Yeah, Quit Shaming These Sluts

Exactly- quit shaming these sluts.

I've been trying to encourage slutty behaviour in girls my entire post-pubescent life ( much less successfully, i might add). So hey, i'm all for it- (by it i mean if youre a chick, getting hammered, exposing yourself and hooking up with other chixxxs).

Anyway, someone has to pick up the slack since the "Girls gone wild" guy is in jail.

Because

the human element, in all of its genders, is rather unintelligent. You, Clark-Flory, have enough common sense to see that such behavior is rather, how shall we say, idiotic. However, it is permitted and, in some venues (including Salon, I gather), a source of entertainment to others.

Why are we entertained? Because idiots, like the poor, will always be with us. (Not arguing causation there. Continue...) However, unlike the poor, idiots usually are directly asking for the humilation that comes their ways.

Should this bother us? Unless you really have nothing better to consider, I recommend letting the alchohol-soaked carpet of the youth do their thing. After all, your pension fund probably invests in Captain Morgan. And, in 20 years, one of these intoxicated dingbats may just well win the nomination for President. (After attending law school and developing an acute sense of social responsibility, of course.)
