Is It Discrimination ?
If blacks or women or tourists are willing to pay more for the same product, is it discrimination to start at a higher asking price for cars or loans ? I know salesmen prefer to sell to women, because they generally make more money. Based on my experience with the women in my life (mother, 3 sisters, wife and daughter) women don't do the same amount of homework on purchases that the men in my life (father, brother, son) do. ie Before I ever take out a loan or buy a car, I know what I'm going to pay before I even start the negotiation.
