False accusations
"In an earlier part of my life, I taught at a university and had a student accuse me of sexual harrassment, and even though she was clearly lying (her story kept changing and made no sense), I went through 18 months of bullshit and ended up not getting tenure. "
That happened to me, except it was a racism accusation. I am really liberal, and am not a racist. Nonetheless, a racist comment was made by a student in my class. It was blamed on me by the fucking asshole who was the EEOC person at the school. I was not believed, and when I asked why the EEOC person believed the student instead of me, she said that the student had no reason to lie so of course she was telling the truth.
I didn't get tenure either.
