Ignorance is Bliss
Certainly I hope women are not having children to keep up with the Jones's, but I can say in the Atlanta suburbs, mom's not working is a status symbol. I suspect it's the same all over the country. Maybe as a single woman living in the city, Rebecca doesn't know jack about life in suburbia. Families of more than 2 children is not exceptional. Trend ? I don't think so, I'm one of 6 and grew up in the 70's.
