    A Disservice to Women Candidates

    If you control for incumbency, women are just as good at fundraising as men, if not better. Incumbents are in an infinitely better position to raise money, and most incumbents are male, so it may seem that women are not doing as well. But if you compare male incumbents to female incumbents, and male challengers to female challengers, research shows that there is no difference in fundraising ability.
