... guilty of the very thing it purports to oppose: helping to create a nightmarish future where our population will be engineered, rather than born of individuals respected enough to make their own decisions.
I don't see how what they propose does any such thing. I think you're feeling a little defensive.
It is true, however, that the proposal is pushy. I agree with the other poster that Down's parents should be made available to describe life raising such a child, but to require a meeting is a bit much.
