    There is a difference

    There is a difference between old-school bulbs and these new-fangled ones.

    It's just whether or not your eyes can see it. If you can't, just get whatever makes most economic sense. If paying X amount will save you X number of dollars over a year, then go for it.

    But if it takes 5-10 years to realize any savings, then that's another judgement call.
