the HPV vaccine is not the first to prevent cancer. The Hepatitis B vaccine has been on the market for over 2 decades now. This actually serves as an excellent model for the HPV vaccine - since the Hep B vaccine's inception, liver cancer rates have declined steadily, and the rate of decline has already shown an increase after this inoculation became mandatory about a decade ago.
