The only thing a man would have to learn,
through an extreme feminists fucked up logic, is that it is necessary to film any and all sexual encounters and insure you have a consensual sexual release form.

I don't think this IS going to go away until either everything is filmed or people stop having sex
and it seems that both trends are well underway, mostly the latter. Notice how these issues never seem to come up in the context of gay sex, male or female. Maybe everyone should do that, certainly it seems that lots of people wish they would.

To Anon "Let's really do the numbers"
Anonymous makes the incredibly dumb argument that because he/she/it can recall of only a couple more high profile rape cases that turned out to be false, rape charges must be pretty much always true.

In fact 23% of the time the defendent is excluded! Meaning, 23% of the time rape accusations are false!
I do not hate women as some who write letters here so obviously do, so my immediate reaction is not one of crying foul harpies be damned. I rather think that most of these 23% have in fact been raped, just not by the accused person. I have a feeling they're pressured to just pick someone from a lineup, whether the rapist is present or not.
The real story here is that even if you are rich it's hard to beat false allegations and a hungry prosecutor, both of which abound. Even when you have unassailable evidence of multiple types that you could not have been an attacker, or were not even present at the crime scene!
My heart goes out to women who are raped. I was abused as a child. I didn't remember it until I was older, but when I did (on my own) I had all of the predicted symptoms of anger, helplessness, guilt. I'm glad the man who did it died in a crash when I was young because I'm sure I'd have killed him.
But if these kids hadn't had the money that they were so sneered at for having (from their parent's second mortgages), they'd have spent a year in jail. They likely would have been raped, or perhaps castrated, or killed. Rapists are the lowest form of life in prison, and the prisoners don't subscribe to the notion of innocent until proven guilty.
Rape and assault of men in jail isn't very big on the radar of the womens' rape advocacy groups, unfortunately. An appalling number of feminists appear to believe any accusation a woman makes is true, and if men are raped in prison because they're rapists, it's justice. Republicans tend to agree, but not because they are feminist, but because they feel that pretty much everyone who gets charged with anything is probably guilty. I've heard many argue that if a few innocent people got killed, the death penalty was still worth it, for example.
So who's left to stand up for the thousands of men falsely accused each year? Only liberal men, pretty much.
To those who say prosecution of Mangum will bring about a "chilling effect," of rape reporting, I say that's unfortunate, and blame Mangum. Falsely accusing someone of rape is not a game you get to play and go home when you're tired of it. It is an act of violence, metaphorically as an assault on someone's liberty, and literally, in that men accused are tremendously more likely to be assaulted in prison.
Care should be taken in prosecuting it, and I think in most cases it would be impossible, or difficult to prove, and perhaps this is as it should be. But in Mangum's case, she claimed these three players with various "90%," and "100%" certainty raped her with no condom. This was false. There are no two ways about it, it's a scientific fact. And if she had gotten away with it, she would have ruined the lives of these men and their families, more than she has already.

Falsely accusing someone of rape is not a game you get to play and go home when you're tired of it
Actually, it is. Unless the woman was not physically present or unless she confesses there is no way to prove that rape, or some other form of secual assult, DIDN'T happen, so there can be no penalty.

Duke LAX Rape Case
I think it is important to emphasize that just because the charges were dropped does not mean that a rape did not take place at the Duke Lacrosse party. In addition it does not mean that these men are innocent either. The result of this case came about due to the conflicts in the victims statements and does not address the fact that she may have been drugged and simply had problems remembering all the fact in order as they unfolded. We will never know the truth but if it had at least went to trial more of the evidence would have come out for both sides. This whole case stinks to high hell and I believe the side with the most money once again prevailed. In addition this case helps rapist in future cases. It should have went to trial. Seligman may have been wrongfully accused but the other two still seem questionable.

Are you drunk/on drugs or just insane? You statements sound earily similar to those wingnuts who sit outside of Area 51 hoping to catch a glimpse of the alien aircraft from outer space that they are convinced exist.
Let me break it down for you, so that your little mind can comprehend:
1. NO DNA. None. No skin, no hair, no semen, nothing from any of the Duke athletes. This is highly ironic since she has changed her story over 15 times, including that she was suspended in the air in the bathroom while all 3 were present assaulting her. This is also highly unusual since she stated they weren't wearing condoms and gangraped here and anally penetrated her. But, there were NO injuries even remotely consistent with a rape.
2. She had no facial injuries or body injuries. Ironic for someone gangraped.
3. She DID have 3 others men's semen on her person and underpants (isn't she a classy lady, just like you!), none of which was Duke DNA.
4. She was pole dancing at a strip club 2 nights later, verified. Ironic behavior for her claims.
5. Photographic evidence PROVES she wasn't touched and was actually helped into the car to leave. Undeniable evidence proves that 2 of the young men weren't even there when she claimed the attack occurred.
I could go on but your small, infantile would not grasp it. Simply put, NO FUCKING RAPE OCCURRED. The men are INNOCENT. Get over it. Grow up. Try getting out of your house more often. Try waking up. Try not using so many prescription meds. Try not drinking so much. Jesus, you are delusional.
