There's acceptable hate speech and unacceptable hate speech. Liberals have framed the argument thus. It's entirely acceptable to openly call for the expulsion of all Jews from America or assert a super secret conspiracy for the secretive secret zionist jew menace to plot a take over of the US. And of course we did 9-11 and crop circles and the bird flu. But those are all acceptable. Likewise liberals like to champion gay rights but are no less homophobic than anyone else. Or misogynists, or any of the other brands. But those are all acceptable. Just like you can turn on the Fox news and listen to those clowns scream that anyone to the left of Generalissimo Franco is a cancer that has to be exterminated, in order to protect the big fat baby Jesus, or that all Arabs need to be nuked and whatnot.
Those are all acceptable hate speech in America. No Dogs No Jews No Irish. So the Gary and Joan show goes on its merry disgusting way preaching whatever it is they do. Just don't go after America's one special group for which, rightfully or wrongfully, there is a double or triple standard. So if the blacks in American have to do the heavy lifting to get assholes off the air, then fine. Let's do that.

see black folks? don't say jews don't appreciate you!
RealName:"So if the blacks in American have to do the heavy lifting to get assholes off the air, then fine." perhaps in a couple of generations, there will be so many multiple identities and allegiances that all of this will be moot. but not now. i and my family have loyalties to jews and blacks. that's hard enough! at least we still have some people to be bigotted against! imagine a time when you are cursing just to curse and find yourself cursing yourself! no, seriously, though i find the ideas of kamiya and walsh *dangerous* (to myself and my family - *everything* is in reference to myself and my family. i'm no different than any other human on this planet in that respect), i find the letters helpful. i can thus judge the *actual* danger. know when to pack, so to speak. the nazis (i use the term for someone who, in my opinion, hates jews. in that respect, roosevelt, churchill and gandhi were nazis - "to a jew, the enemy of my enemy - is another enemy". but that's ok. i love my family and i have a zest for life - a "paranoid"(i say, "realistic") life, but still life. same for blacks, not in this forum, but they have *relatives* in the ghetto and hardly a large black family exists in america that didn't have a young black man killed in the street. it's horrible, but it's still life, and they, as we, love it. you must forgive an old man, back to the point. the important thing is *not* the nazis, but the *agreement*. if you'll notice carefully, you'll see the same old names. but no new ones saying, "hear! hear!". to me that means sticking up for us is not "acceptible in (im)polite company" but they aren't yet going to vote in goebbels. and for what it's worth, i don't think pelosi is either. or hilary. or (god forbid) giuliani. i will vote for obama, but i have my worries. i watched tavis smiley's yearly "thing" for black folks and i noticed that none of the black (or even biracial - like *he* is!) people supported him (like there was a *rule* against it), that's the caveat. what i noticed is that his jewish professor at harvard didn't either! makes no sense! what if, by crazy chance he *gets* into the white house. wouldn't he like to have a favor or two? anyway, i worry that, like other black folks, he got a negative impression of jews (and who knows how many *other* jews he knows? that's one reason i post so much. i *know* i am unusual, why not have black people see *another* "type" of jew? it only takes one to change an "all").

today in history
23 Nisan
In 1921, Arab mobs attacked Jewish residents of Jaffa and stormed the Zionist Immigration Center, killing 47 Jews. The Arabs used rioting as a political tool: After each outbreak, a British commission of inquiry would pin the cause of the violence on the Arabs' fear of being displaced by Jews. To stop the rioting, the commission would recommend that restrictions be placed on Jewish immigration. In this particular case, the Arabs won the battle -- to scare the Jews out of Jaffa -- but lost the war: The riots spurred Jewish settlement in neighboring Tel Aviv, which left Jaffa nearly devoid of Jewish commercial interests. Again in 1929, rioting caused Jews to leave Jaffa, and before long Tel Aviv had overshadowed Jaffa as Israel's main commercial center.

RealName, no one here, or even in america
is interested in toting up atrocities. the truest opinion of the general view is "an eye for an eye leaves everyone blind". simplistic? ok, but that's the view. my view, as you well know, is, THEY HAD THEIR CHANCE! they could have welcomed jews as turkey did after the spanish expulsion (and went on to rule an empire). but they didn't. they *could* have - and jews would have been overjoyed and grateful to live under shari'a law, but LIVE! and the palestinians, wherever they originated, would have been RICH. but they didn't. instead they welcomed hitler. so tough noogies.
-
and the funny thing (ok, folks, just one more - this thread is about black people)
is, THEY STILL *COULD* (be rich and happy) but they won't. why? like the christians for a thousand years, they think they are doing the Will of God and non-suffering jews meant THEY WERE WRONG! so that's it. an endless war. i read that in the days of the early roman empire, fully 10% were jewish. now two thousand years later, the number of us remains the same - still, we EXIST! and yes, i believe we *always* will exist. as long as Defiance persists in the human spirit. there. that was something applicable to Imus (*whatever* stand you take!)
