Death threats dog female blogger

Evidence of rampant misogyny, or the price of doing business in the blogosphere?

The letters thread is now closed.

The large remainder of the students in the class were clearly destined to experience most of their sex in "lifelike rubber." There wa a commen thread of female hatred and anger running through the class.

This looks to me like an example of someone who is stating the actual nature of the situation without understanding the obvious meaning of their own accurate statment.

Salon could use some new writers

Most people will see this as more evidence to support even more stupid and hateful things. I didn't read much but it's obvious that the victim mentality is alive and well.

It gives idiot bloggers and others who feel they have so much to say even more stuff to say.

I can't say I have much sympathy for bloggers or other people who write nonsense.

One last funny little incident...

Heh, I saw Ben's playa attempts in action a while back...immediately after viciously attacking some women, he asked another woman poster out on a date. Shockingly, she evaporated from sight, didn't respond...wow, Ben's sure got game. I can see how all these hot chicks must be throwing themselves at him.

yeah, re the pathetic B.D.

A writer a while back said of another writer, "Everything she's said is a lie, including the words 'a,' and 'the." The same could be applied to Ben Dover. He's totally full of shit and it's his fault for walking into his own trap. Bonehead.

What are you going to do when Salon starts banning you from posting? Beat up little girls in kindergarten? Gotta vent that rage somehow, eh?

late to the party

But reading some of these posts, I just wanted to reiterate what a boring, irritating moron Ben Dover is, not to mention a liar. Remember how he claims in the letters pages here (smoking gun, Benny) to have gotten MBAs from Yale AND Princeton? Lying douchebag.

He himself said his wife cuckolded him. Good for her. She finally got to experience more than a half-inch penis, I guess.

And no, I'm not fat. I just know that you suck, scumbag.

Incidentally, I realize I ought to feel bad for those lacrosse players you're so hung up on (do you have a thing for them? nice cute little butts or something? are you "conflicted"?). But to be honest, I'm sure they're total entitled scumbag college jock idiots. Sob, sob, I'm so distraught for all they've gone through. Not.

Kindly do not feed the trolls

Just a friendly reminder to the vast majority of sane people who post letters to Salon.

I could go on, but I am sure your orthodox and heavily invested view refuses you the ability to accept any arguments besides those that posit women are good, men as bad. I am also sure you think I am not entitled to an opinion that does not square with orthodox feminism because I am not a woman.

I never said that men are all bad and women all good, I'm not surprised that you think I said that though.

Of course you are entitled to your opinion, I'm a firm believer in freedom of expression. That doesn't mean that I agree with your opinion though.

You would be surprised at just how unorthodox many of my views are. I got roundly and thoroughly chewed out by some feminists on another site just a few days ago for arguing against a point of their orthodoxy. I stuck to my guns and eventually prevailed though. I just do it with facts and logic without bringing personalities into the discussion.

I calls 'em like I sees 'em..

Ben Dover

Of course he won't. I'm not one of those many people sending him hate mail now for his actions anyways :).

Men never suffer? Hey, someone else said it, not me.

If you are at all rational you have to admit that women suffer more at the hands of men than men do at the hands of women. If I really have to I can dig up statistics showing that far more men murder women than vice versa.

As for net total suffering, I think it is roughly equal.

While more men murder and rape women than the opposite, that is not the only way someone can make someone else suffer.

There is certainly psychological, physical (non murder or rape), and mental suffering to be had for all.

Granted, an unmarried man who is clever can stay quite free of women while partaking in the milk, but the reality is that a small fraction of men are in such a situation.

Often men are married, estranged, divorced and suffer in their own ways.

It all depends on who is running the show, who is in power. Before the ring, men are, after the ring, women are. You can deny it all you like and portray women as powerless dumbshits, but this is one area where I cringe at y'alls ignorance. Women rule the roost, and women make the rules, and lots of men suffer as a result. Because you refuse to accept or count it does not make it disappear.

Also, how often is men's suffering tallied when it comes to fighting wars? You can make loads of arguments that society and culture is predicated on conquest in order to get more goodies to get and keep the best supply of poon. Therefore, men suffer in a way as a result of women. That is, unless you are willing to deny that men do not organize their whole lives around the pursuit of the hottest women they can get. Then I would just say you are ignorant or deluded.

I could go on, but I am sure your orthodox and heavily invested view refuses you the ability to accept any arguments besides those that posit women are good, men as bad. I am also sure you think I am not entitled to an opinion that does not square with orthodox feminism because I am not a woman. So why am I wasting my time with you? Oh, because you dared me to respond.

Geekgirl,

I don't think he will miss you at his blog.

Good Grief

I just that RageBoy's blog and I think he's annoying, full of it and venemous for no reason. He has an issue with Kathy's "creating passionate users". This is technology for god's sake! What the hell is wrong with taking it to another dimension? This guy feels like a troll with his own blog. This is a blog i'm boycotting.
