Maybe she needs "Man" to protect her?
To come swooping in with his anonymous posts and delusional self grandeur to go protect her! LOL... L.C. I don't know why you'd even be reasonable with someone like him. I guess posting anonymously is not some cowardly act especially in comparison to a high-traffic blog that details who you are to some extent.

LeCastor, this is exactly where the borderline autism comes in
LeCastor said to Man:
I don't know where you grew up (Marquis de Sade's and Hannibal Lecter's house perhaps), but in my world, saying that you wish someone would cut off someone's head, have sex with their neck, and then ejaculate into their decapitated throat is not a "juvenile taunt."
In my view, a well-adjusted person would never really write something like that. Not only is it scary, but you also know that someone relatively sick is looking at you and thinking these things. I think that would be pretty frightening.
But this is very typical for someone with borderline autism, or Asperger's syndrome. You see this kind of cluelessness a lot among scientists and programmers.
They say grotesquely inappropriate things and then don't understand why people are shocked and criticize them. They tend to insist that other people are reacting inappropriately. They tend not to understand how their own behavior can provoke such a reaction.
This behavior pattern occurs because people like this don't have the emotional wiring to understand the emotional or social impact their actions have on other people.
They're lacking something critical in their ability to perceive the world of humans.
I had a physics professor once tell me "If you believe (some topic in physics) then you haven't learned one single thing in the entire time you've been here."
And then later on when I confronted him about how insulting his words were, he denied that he meant to insult anyone.
I think the guy really did not understand the concept of hurtful communication at all. The part of his brain that would have allowed him to understand that this was a very insulting and harmful way for a professor to disagree with a student was just missing.
YOu see people like that in science and technology ALL THE TIME. Their understanding of the world is limited to an intellectual understanding. They don't get empathy, and they are baffled by social norms and indeed often feel oppressed by social norms.
It's autism. They are not developmentally normal. And most of them have no idea they aren't normal, because they don't have enough self awareness to perceive their own lack of appropriateness.

Hey Eurpoa....
I enjoyed your meltdown...
I really did - so did the rest of the class -
Now stop the feminine hysterics and take a deep breath!

re: but in my world, saying that you wish someone would cut off someone's head, have sex with their neck, and then ejaculate into their decapitated throat is not a "juvenile taunt."
That's because you're a chick and you don't know how boys play - they make big boasts and silly threats - but rarely follow up. Remember, also LeCastor, no one SAID anything to this cowardly lady - they posted internet nonsense on her blog - and she ran away - very feminine - very womanly - very typical. As I've said, she just needs a man - some call them a body guard. I can promise you that the techie feys posting to her blog won't make a peep to a flesh and blood fellow...

Of course it is - but her acts are over the top cowardly and chicken shit.
If it was a guy doing the same thing, there wouldn't even be a discussion on his cowardly behavior - it'd be a given.
But I don't expect you woman to understand this.
you're woman...
Mars/Venus...

My advice for any woman entering science or technology
Get a good book on adult Asperger's syndrome and read it thoroughly. This background will help you understand some of the more frustrating and even scary individuals you may meet from time to time along your journey through the land of hyper-reason.

Difference between brutally rude, and death threats
But this is very typical for someone with borderline autism, or Asperger's syndrome. You see this kind of cluelessness a lot among scientists and programmers.
....
I had a physics professor once tell me "If you believe (some topic in physics) then you haven't learned one single thing in the entire time you've been here."
Yeah, but see, from the perspective of the autistic person this is reasonable to say, because your lack of knowledge in the one area proves to him your stunning lack of knowledge in general, and the part that's missing is the part where he understands that even if he thinks such a thing it's damn inappropriate to say it.
I have known many brutally rude people. Some autistic or Aspergers', some narcissists, some just jerks. Rude people say self-entitled things you can imagine *thinking* but not saying because, well, that would be rude.
Photoshopped pictures of a woman being suffocated with panties and wishes for someone to slit a woman's throat and ejaculate down her neck are not brutally rude. They are psychopathic. The part that is missing in the psychopath is not the part that understands how the victim feels -- they understand well. They just don't *care*.
People with autism and Asperger's syndrome are generally very moral people (rigidly so at times) and can be very loving. It's not that they don't *care* how others feel, it's that they can't figure it out. So no, you're not likely to see this kind of behavior from autistics. Rude and nasty behavior, yes. Psychopathic behavior intended to terrorize others, no. And extremely violent, sexualized threats are intended to terrorize.
Tech probably has no higher a percentage of psychopaths than anywhere else, but the Net gives them a voice that the fear of being caught would otherwise deny them.

PLEASE
You know "MAN" we're not ALL like this Kathy person. Not all of us run scared when some silly little boy threatens us. I stick to the strict policy of if you piss me off or threaten me, I will go out of my way to make your life a living hell. I guarantee you put any man in front of me and I can make him cry in under ten minutes. Men are so easily controlled and manipulated it's hilarious. All I have to do to get a man to do what I want is smile, it's pathetic. Call me a sexist...I am. She doesn't need a man in her life, she needs a wake up call. The fact that there are crazy people in the world should not come as a shock to this woman. She posted her full name on her blog...it's called Google, Kathy, and it hates you.
