    Carol asks: "Why is this story so sad?..."

    "... Why aren't there articles about men who are choosing not to be fathers?"

    Because those kind of stories would be completely uninteresting.

    I'm 42 and have *never* wanted children. I got odd looks making that statement when I was 12/18/25/35 just as much as when I state this today. Children just don't interest me. There is so much more to enjoy in this world than raising children.

    But that kind of article doesn't sell ads in the Post.
