What a strange 1950's attitude - women are all money-grubbers. With that attitude, I'm glad no woman has been foolish enough to marry you.
My wife is a wonderful and giving person and she makes more money than I do. Does that make me a money-grubbing man? Grow up.

rational v. emotional
In my experience it is the opposite - arousal is the emotional aspect of the equation and my revulsion and a dude coming in some woman's face is the logical aspect. I understand that there is an emotional component - i.e., empathy by unintentionally placing myself in the woman's position, but the reaction - my revulsion - is logical. I mean, who wants to be treated like a human fuck hole/toilet?
Its similar to any situation where an empathetic person is watching suffering or humiliation. Its uncomfortable. And that is logical.

I know not all women agree with you but the fact is that many do and there is so often an irritating attempt to deny the fact that conflicts between men and women are due to real differences and not political and cultural conspiracies.

porn, and orgasms, for men is disposable. Men can watch porn, maybe even once a day, and get what they need out of it. Its like eating. Sure A guy likes a good meal at an expensive restaurant, but there are a lot of days where he grabs Subway on the way home from a long day at the office. Its the same with sex. Porn is so ubiquitous for guys, so much so that I can honestly say Ive never known a guy who has not engaged in watching it, that it obviously fulfills a need in men that women are not. And its not just for guys who are not getting laid. Women seem to only require the expensive meal at the nice restaurant a few times a month to be satisfied, while men need to eat 3 meals a day. (so to speak) Not all of those meals are going to be winners. Porn fills that void, and the porn industry laughs all the way to the bank. If women had any idea how sexually frustrated the average man goes through life, even those men in relationships, she would reevaluate her whole value system in judging their behavior.
And anyone who makes the argument that money does not matter for a guy attracting a woman is delusional. Men are judged by their ability to provide in the same way that women are judged by their looks. It feels the same too. Except that guys are also judged by their looks. And their height. And their ability to make you feel safe. And their confidence. etc...etc...PHEW, I guess Ill just hit a Subway on the way home tonight. I'm exhausted just thinking about it.

Am I reading....Broadsheet??? Women don't buy porn because If I went in my local video store and baught a nasty DVD, I could never show my face there again. I'd look like a freak. As a bisexual female, I'll watch any porn, anytime. Provided it features attractive women. That's right, I'm not that into visuals of men. I happen to believe that most women are more aroused by other women than men. I guess some just won't acknowladge it. I have bi and lesbian friends that love porn, one in particular who buys it in person at stores. As for intimacy, I don't give a damn for it when all I'm trying to do is get off. You people make me want to puke.

Typical mistaken train of thought.
Because many women decide to eventually cash out and there is no way to figure out which ones will do it and it is so easy and profitable for women to squeeze a man for money, ALL WOMEN should be considered potential criminals until proven otherwise.
Laugh about it now, but chances are your wife will eventually sicken of you too and then go for what she can get from you as revenge.
Few women differ from this model. Hence most are money grubbing whores.

WOMEN'S PORN MORE INCOGNITO--LOVE NOVELS
Just because females have their books and magazines in public, doesn't mean it's not porn. Indecent. Unladylike. Lacking illicit content.
These novels they pick-up before they pick-up books of history and cultural content, is why they're the first hired--women are less fearful as workplace, upper level competitors than men. (Men read more historical and uplifting works than females.) Love novels have instances and instances, pages and pages of sexual and intimate contacts. The men who write such novels have gotten wind of females' attraction to "written/literary-porno," so the sales go up--while the races and unfit mothered goes through the roofs.

Thanks for the insight
Thanks to you women who wrote about the dichotomy between getting turned on and (intellectually) being turned off. Just last night my husband was asking me to watch porn with him and I was trying to explain that after about 10 minutes of it I'm more turned off than on (even if I'm turned on too- the other part won't let me enjoy it). I think it would be easier to be a guy when it comes to porn- having all this conflicting stuff flying around my brain and body makes me crazy. I don't think my guy will ever 'get it', but, at least now, I don't feel like there is something wrong with me. -Jeanne
