much to do about nothing
This is by far the dumbest thing i've read all week. This year we've had clear cases of interference with the FDA over Plan B and the HPV vaccine approvals (real issues regarding women and society), and this is what Ann Althouse chooses to pick a fight over. Anyone who's been on a college campus over the last five years would argue that Valenti's outfit is frumpy by today's standards, and anyone who's endured a professional photographer for more than 30 seconds knows they twist you into all kinds of ridiculous poses and facial expressions.
The blogosphere is very proud of itself, but crap like this just provides more evidence that its nothing more than a soundingboard for people who otherwise would garner little attention in the real world. Read the right column of the Daou report sometime, and you'll find alot of angry lonely people. I pity them all.
