To TheDon who is concerned about his 11-year-old shaving her pubic area: If your daughter has something to shave that would otherwise show in her bathing suit or gymnastics outfit, I assure you, it would be much worse for her not to shave it because she is "too young." My mother did not allow my to shave my armpit hair as a 12 year old, and it resulted in constant ridicule from my classmates. (I was far too obedient to complain about this to my mother.) I shudder to think what would have resulted from exposed pubic hair. Your wife knows what she is doing, there's a big difference between a bit of judicious shaving and a "Brazillian wax."
Spas aren’t all highlights and manicures – there are skin treatments as well.
I developed severe acne at the age of nine, and could have benefited from a monthly facial and natural, gentle skincare products in a soothing, friendly environment. Instead, I was subjected to injections, painful chemical peels, and strong drugs with unpleasant side effects. None of those aggressive treatments helped much, and it wasn’t until my late teens that I discovered a milder regimen could work better. It’s great that gentler – and more effective – acne treatments are available to girls these days.
Also, infant massage isn’t intended to relieve stress, but to promote social and muscle development. Orphanages all over the world have started massaging the babies in their care, and it’s made a huge impact on the development of these children.

Perhaps if you monitored what your little precious was watching on TV and looking up on the internet she wouldn’t think the shaved look makes her look older. Maybe just maybe she is a bit young to be looking at shaved adult women.
Or maybe it’s everybody else’s fault BUT the parents.
By the way, women don’t shave down there to make themselves look like “prepubescent little girls” They do it because it looks better than the old 70s style briar patches that women used to sport.
That and oral sex. Trust me it’s allot easier to get a guy to go down and stay down if he doesn’t have to hack through a pile of hair to get there.
You had a "Wendy Wards" program that catered to 5 and 6 year olds? Wow - news to me! I was a teenager in the 1960s and our local Monkey W. promoted its "Wendy" program to high-schoolers. Goodness knows, teens in that decade certainly needed a few lessons in manners, etc. but it was assumed at that time that younger children were still in the clutches of their parents and listened to adult admonitions (however reluctantly) about proper behavior.
are exposed to a lot more than just sexual behaviors. They are also around women who work in all kinds of jobs, women who go to college and make art, etc. My granddaughters have three women (friends of their mother) who we call their fairy godmothers-- one keeps their nails polished (before they are 4 yrs old) and buys them all kinds of pink fluffy stuff, but she also painted the art in their living room which explores different conceptions of female internal organs (it's more appropriate for the living room than it sounds). Another is an actress who has performed in burlesque as well as Tennessee Williams. Don't be bashing mothers today-- they have their work cut out for them, and they're not as clueless as they might appear from a distance. These girls' mother is preparing for her CPA exams while training with the local roller derby team. And their grandmother eschews all of the rituals of female grooming that go beyond keeping clean and fit.
Besides, whose idea was it to hide sex from children, anyway, while the evening news features war, genocide and starvation on a regular basis. The Puritans? What does 'innocence' mean today?
Do you really think there aren't still women who sport "briar patches" down there? I do. I'm proud to be the way I am and not the way the porn industry has conditioned me (and men)to think I should be.
I'd have less a problem with thongs if I really believed women wanted to wear them and didn't just do it because they think its expected.
And, do you think men who go to Thong Night are going to meet a nice lady?
No I’m saying that the women who DO shave down there do it because they DON’T want to look like some overgrown hedge in a vacant lot.
If you like yourself that’s all that counts, but saying that women who shave do it because the porn industry tells them to implies that you think we can’t make decisions for ourselves. Are all women who shave vacuous sluts?
Maybe they just like it that way, I certainly do.
Free choice sister it’s what the fight is all about.
LeCastor - you make think it's prudish

This is an article of clothing -- if you don't want to wear it, don't. why do yo uassume that women are so stupid and susceptible to other people's desires? that it's just impossible that women would actually want to wear thongs because they want to wear them, and for no other reason? at least some women?
As for the Thong Night, the whole concept of "nice lady" (as opposed to the thong-wearing sexy "slut") is already pretty prudish and sexist, dont' you think? The whole idea that "nice girls" (whatever that means) dont' wear thongs is absurd.
Do YOU think that the women that go to Thong Night are going to meet a nice man?
some of us get to have the "briar patch" AND oral sex. Some men like women the way god made us, bless their hearts. Why would any woman want a man who only finds her attractive in an uncomfortably altered state?
