She loves the knife life

Times reporter gets nipped, tucked, sucked, frozen, poked, lifted, injected, plumped and stuffed with fetal foreskin.

Hey, I'm 40

And I don't have wrinkles. OK, maybe starting a little bit around the eyes.

Is it possible that all the attempts to stay young are causing her skin to age prematurely? Genuinely curious here. I know that a lot of it is genes, bone structure and things like drastic weight loss--but if she's gone to that extent for that long, how much of it has actually CAUSED her skin issues?

Or is it all in her mind?

It's got to be all in her head

As I am 28 almost 29 now and I don't have any wrinkles and I smoke and drink the evil harbingers of wrinkly skin. But I also don't tan because I am very fair and I don't think any of my girlfriends have wrinkles either.

Sure my face doesn't look like it did when I was 19, but I don't care.

I have seen some of those plastic surgery shows and I think that most of the time the women come off looking worse than before the surgery. Only nose jobs seem to be benificial.

Good Lord, who cares?

Why is this woman, so consumed with self-hatred that she willingly and repeatedly risks life and limb for 'improvements' that are uncertain, subjective and not measureable, getting column inches devoted to her paranoid mania? It's bad enough that she wrote a book on it - - what ever happened to embarrassment about your mistakes and lack of judgement? -- but why does Broadsheet have to promulgate the focus on her bizarre and self-destructive self-absorption?

Knife Life

My thoughts exactly, Ms. Traister. Well done.

Another example...

of the lack of common sense being shown generally at the Times these days (Dowd, Friedman, Herbert and Rich being the exceptions).

Wake me up when her pubic hair becomes her eyebrows, which should be about, uhm, 2 years from now at her current rate...

"I actually have wrinkles"

Oh my God, not wrinkles! You might as well start picking out your coffin!

Seriously, did anyone check out her photo in the article? She totally looks like a plastic surgery junkie. Give me a real woman, wrinkles and all, any day.

Plastic surgery - good!

Michael Jackson doesn't appear to have any wrinkles and he is over 45!

wow...

what a charmed life. I hope her family doesn't sue when she dies from all that nasty sh*t.
